Excellent value for an excellent product
We have to use OTTO’s cassava flour as a substitute for conventional, wheat, flour, due to our son’s mass cell activation syndrome. Otto’s is the only cassava flour product that I am aware of that is not fermented in the production process, which keeps the histamine levels down, and this is very important for people sensitive, such as my son, to histamine. OTTO‘s cassava flour is absolutely delicious for baking cakes making homemade tortillas, donuts, brownies, breading for chicken or steak and many other cooking and baking needs. When my wife started using Otto’s cassava flour, I was skeptical of how good of a substitute it may be, but I actually prefer it. It has better texture and flavor in my opinion than traditional wheat or corn flours, and being able to find it in the 15 pound bags has reduce the cost of it to be far more affordable, since we go through so much of it. I would recommend this product to anyone is it has gluten, allergies, histamine intolerance, or just looking to try something outside the regular wheat flour box, get a 1 pound bag to start with and you’ll see what I’m talking about and you’ll come back for the big bag because it’s a far better value and worth it.

Perfect for making tortillas! Great for AIP
We loved it so much we used the whole bag the same day we opened it and ordered another one. I just received 2nd bag in the mail. I absolutely loved the texture and quality of this flour. So happy I found this flour! I was going to use it to make desserts but I saw the recipe for tortillas on the back of the package and decided to give it a try. It is so simple. Forget about adding veggies to make these tortillas. Nothing is better than a simple ingredient recipe. Ottos cassava flour, oil, salt and water. I made mini tortillas for my toddlers. I made 45 out of a double batch. They love eating the baby tacos as they call them. They even get upset if they see me eating them, lol. I added more water a little at a time while mixing to make them more moist and pliable. I used a tortilla press with ziploc bag in between. They did not stick or break. They cooked quickly and have a stretchy strong smooth soft texture. I put leftover tortillas in fridge wrapped in towel inside ziploc. They lasted 3 days because we ate them all. Flour does not have weird after taste like coconut or almond flours and doesn't get chewy like rice flour. Cassava flour has very mild flavour and I would say it is comparable to all purpose flour. Except Cassava is good for you and allergy free. I don't feel left out at parties anymore and don't feel like Im on a restricted diet. I am on the Autoimmune protocol (AIP) and had found it very hard to eat normal meals. Thanks to this not anymore

Really good.
Cassava flour tortillas are the most delicious replacement for corn tortillas. Very soft and good flavor. I have tried 3 different brands of cassava flour and this one is my favorite.

Great white flour substitute, love the pancakes
Great product and price. I use this to stay on my Paleo life style without sacrificing the normal white flour taste and feel when making bread, pancakes, cookies, etc. The consistency of this flour is very close to white flour without the gluten and grains that causes me the feeling of bloating which I usually feel when I eat regular bread. I tried to use coconut flour or almond flour, but those make the bread and pancakes really dry and the taste of coconut or almond is very strong. This flour doesn't have that nutty flavor! I normally use this with a 1:1 substitute for white flour, but there are a number of recipes online for making bread, cookies, or even using this flour in soup for thicker and more flavorful taste.Pancake Ingredients:1 C cassava flour, stir before measuring½ tsp grain free baking powder*¼ tsp. baking soda½ tsp. sea salt2 Tbsp. honey2 large eggs1' C + 1 Tbsp. non-dairy milk1 tsp. distilled white vinegar3 Tbsp. refined coconut oil, meltedcoconut oil for fryingInstructions:Heat a griddle or pan over medium-low heat.Melt the coconut oil and set aside.Mix the non-dairy milk with vinegar in a small bowl and set aside. In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients. In another bowl, whisk together all of the wet ingredients (including the milk mixture) except the coconut oil, so it doesn't solidify.Stir the wet ingredients into the dry, then stir in the coconut oil. Batter will be thick.Add about ½ tsp. of coconut oil and swirl around pan until it melts.Pour ¼ C of batter into the preheated skillet and slightly spread out the batter on the coconut flour pancakes so it's not too thick. Cook until the edges look dry and bubbles start to form. The coconut flour pancakes will have less bubbles and will take slightly longer to cook.Flip and cook until the other side is golden brown. Set aside and repeat with remaining pancakes.

Price more than doubled in one month??!!!:(
On March 27, I purchased this product for $49.99 for 15 lbs. Today, when I went to purchase it again, this product was $105 for the same amount!!!! :( This product is a staple for me as I have to eat AIP for health reasons, and is really the best cassava flour - it’s delicious. But why are they trying to fleece loyal customers??? So disappointing and frustrating.
