Windows 7 Compatible
Installed successfully with Windows 7. Installation was pretty easy. Printer arrived promptly and works well. I am willing to accept the higher cartridge costs for decent backwards OS compatibility and that Lexmark so far doesn't "phone home" (that I can tell) or "tries sell me on subscriptions" or otherwise want to know how many pages I am printing or set me up with Alexa or force me to the newest Microsoft OS. I also appreciate that the Lexmark website is quite straightforward and businesslike. The printer has a USB and an ethernet port on the back. It also has WiFi.You will need to supply your own USB cable or ethernet cable if you want to go the hardwired route.I went through the initial setup procedure (language, region, wifi) on the little printer screen first. Then I turned off access to Lexmark Cloud Services. I turned off wifi from the little printer menu. This is the Windows 7 install method that worked for me (I did not use the supplied CD):1. START WITH THE PRINTER OFF AND UNPLUGGED (unplugged to power, unplugged from the computer).2. On the computer, go to the Lexmark website, Support, Drivers & Downloads, enter the model number. It autodetected the operating system as Win7. Download the driver.3. Launch the driver, select install driver, accept the terms and conditions.4. It says: WiFi or USB? Select USB. (And here is where Lexmark decides to tell you that things need to be unplugged.)5. Driver software installs. Then it tells you to plug in the printer to the computer. (I plugged the printer into the computer, plugged in the power cord, then turned it on.)6. Wait a minute or three, and the little Lexmark Driver Software successfully installed should show up in the lower right corner status briefly, and the printer should show up as an option when you go to print a document.I am pleased with this purchase. As electronics setups go, there was relatively little swearing involved.

Great Printer
Purchased several months ago and wanted to use before I commented. First, I had no problem sitting up and tested it with no problems. Haven't used for the last 3-4 months and just fired it up, it printed with no issues and the quality of my color prints looked perfect to me……. I'm very pleased with this purchase, much better than my $400+ dollar all-in- one color ink jet printer which continues to get plugged ink cartridges.

The worst piece of junk it's ever been my misfortune to own
This printer has been nothing but trouble. The main problem is that, apparently, it can't work properly with Microsoft Windows (or that seems to be the consensus of others who have similar issues). When plugged in, it immediately "comes to life" and proceeds to spit out anywhere from one to a never-ending stream of paper with one line of gibberish on it (if the latter, the only way to stop it is to unplug it from the wall and re-start the computer). For this reason, I have to keep it unplugged unless I actually attempt to print something. After requesting a print job, the printer begins its "random page roulette" routine, and, if it's on the more extreme scale, more likely than not will get a nearly impossible-to-resolve paper jam when its flow of gibberish prints is interrupted. Multiple attempts to cancel the impending print job, to restart it, or to clear the jam, only result in frustration and tears. If it does, miraculously and after many attempts, manage to print what you requested, there will be random smudges of gray all over the page. The worst piece of junk it's ever been my misfortune to own (and it weighs a ton, too, for some reason). Avoid!

Muy buena impresora pero falló en la conexión
The media could not be loaded.
