The best undercoat
I have used z…Bart and K..rown undercoating this is by far the best there is no comparison it’s simple to spray on and a-lot cheaper I live in Michigan so salt is bad here, this product sticks and holds to the vehicle and does not spray off from car washes the only complaint I have is to have some of the more specialty tips for the gun to get in some tight spots but you can order those if wanted I keep the bucket inside my house and fill the cans up if your spraying in colder weather if you want your vehicle to last this is the product hands down the best on the market

Sprays on easy and looks good
Sprayed out really good and still has a “wet” look months after being applied. Will be continuing to use in the future

What a mess but looking good so far
My intent for buying this was to coat the underside and guts of my late model GMC 2500 for plowing and '15 Jeep Rubicon for ski trips. Over salting by our DOT here in Pennsylvania eats metal beyond belief. Previous plow trucks and winter cars would have lasted longer with something more than rubberized undercoating. I bought the 5 gallon pail and gun kit and got busy. I used 2.5 gallons total for a crew cab short bed and the 4 door Rubicon and i laid it on thick and spent a solid 4 each each getting into every hole and crevice i could. My only concern is that even though it's advertised as being non-hardening and easily cleaned off with high pressure water, I wish that it would perhaps get slightly firmer. After 2 months, it's every bit as fluid as it was when it was sprayed on. The upside is it is self healing and will make for better protection. The downsides are you'll probably have to re-apply every winter in areas subject to heavy road splash. Interiors of doors and frame rails should be fine for years I'd think. Also a bugger is if you have to work underneath the vehicle in the future. I had to add stronger bump stops to the front of the GMC the other day and was all mucked up with the goop afterwards.Applying it is a messy affair too. The gun and its nozzle and wands work super-well, and never clogged. I used 80psi of air pressure and dropped a gallon jug of the stuff into a 5 gallon barrel of hot water to thin it up a bit (the goop was sitting in a 50 degree shed prior to application). I wore a proper 3M ventilator, thin rubber gloves, a hat and a LED head light to see better. By the time you are done, the floor, the paint of the vehicle and you yourself will be coated in a light film. Plus, the smell doesn't seem to fade very fast at all. After 2 months i still smell it in around my vehicles. Next year I'llbe doing this job outdoors and on jack stands as opposed to on a 2 post lift. I'll report this summer on how well it held up to Pa's winter.
