Dense. Keeps shape. Figured out pillow case option (read on)
It's dense although not necessarily firm. 6 inches diameter, goes down to 4 inches yet keeps shape. Better maybe for side sleepers... too thick for back sleepers, unless maybe your head/neck is heavy enough. It is quite comfortable though and it feels cool. Does not come with a pillow case but it fits a regular queen size pillow case, stuffed it in the short side of the pillow case, then did the roll then flip/tuck to create a nice neat case.Does not come with a pillow case but it fits a regular queen size pillow case, stuffed it in the bottom/short side of the pillow case, then did the roll then flip/tuck to create a nice neat case.... How? Start by stuffing the pillow in the bottom/short side of the pillow case that is inside out. It will seem tight but it would be just the right nice snug. If you hold the open side of the pillowcase and let it hang, the pillow should be parallel to the floor. Now roll the loose part of the case around the pillow, then at the end, flip the ends (like when rolling 2 socks together) so that the good side is now on the outside. Tuck the case around the ends of the pillow and you have a nice tight custom looking pillow case.

Perfect for the price
I always try keep a pillow of this shape around since I hurt my neck in my 20s, and my chiropractor recommended one. They add a support you cannot get from a traditional pillow. The last time I brought a similar pillow home, my hubby stole it, slept on it till it turned into an oval. Recently my aunt was admitted to the hospital. Watching her laying there on all the pain meds, it became clear to me she needed a pillow like this. When I saw how inexpensive they were, I ordered 3 sets, so I could hand them out to all my family. Everyone loved them. Big hit. Mom, uncle, aunt, cousin, another cousin, hubby, and myself. I was unsure of the quality, being an online order. Sometimes that can be hit or miss on amazon, but you really cannot beat the quality for the price. It is not a super hi zoot pillow, but it does the job. They are soft, and not too firm. I had to order another set for my self, I wound up giving mine away.... I couldn’t leave anyone out. Anywho, I’m getting mine today. This was a great gift for everyone in my family in a time when a little joy and relief is a big deal. Money well spent. So far, in the 6 pillows I received, all were well packaged, clean, no funny smell, and no holes. Very happy with my purchase. This one is a winner. Buying more to send to the fam back east

No covers!
These are good, soft support rolls, but they did not come with any kind of a removable cover to wash. I guess I will wash the entire roll, but that seems like it will be a problem. Otherwise, a good product

Product exceeded expectations
You get two (2) pillows for $13.54. Who can beat that? The pillows are small and firm and are very useful for a variety of things:1. They serve as great neck and head support during naps - they cradle the neck wonderfully and help stretch the muscles. However, they aren't good for long duration sleep as due to their firmness they cut off blood flow and cause numbness to arms.2. They provide great lumbar support when sitting on furniture that's too reclined or soft.3. They can be hugged when sleeping for comfort.4. They can provide hip support when put between knees for side sleepers.I found only two downsides:1. One of the pillows I received had a small tear on the seam. Not a big deal, but it would be nice if I hadn't had to mend a brand new pillow.2. Covers have to be purchased separately (unless you can sew), are hard to find, and are more expensive than the pillows themselves.

I like the pillows themselves, but the lack of pillowcase availability in this size has negatively impacted my experience
These pillows are well made and the price is excellent. I think it all boils down to what you intend to do with them & how anal you are about hygiene.I purchased these because I've been on an 18 month search for something that would eliminate some chronic neck pain...and since that search has been minimally successful, I've been on a simultaneous search for a pillow that will allow me to at least get comfortable enough to sleep at night. I've lost count of the neck pain gadgets I've tried and I've tried at least as many pillows.Compared to many of the other products I've experimented with, these pillows allowed me to get pretty comfortable. They're pretty sturdy but they're not rock hard like a foam roll or anything. my primary complaint is that I've had a hard time finding pillowcases in this size, and I really don't like using pillows without a pillowcase. I'm a big stickler for pillow hygiene because pillows are pretty disgusting. obviously, sleeping on them under your neck or head is going to quickly dirty them up with oil from your hair...and drool (even if you don't think you drool, everybody does a little bit sometimes). I have problem skin and dirty pillows transfer all sorts of nastiness onto the face. My complexion sounds the alarm whenever I've been slacking on washing the bed linens.I went to the Newpoint website and searched all over the internet for covers in this size & I could only ever find decorative ones that wouldn't work for sleeping. I just put standard pillowcases on them but that's actually more annoying than you'd think it would be. I don't have a sewing machine & I don't have time to sit down and stitch together a cover that would fit. this may not be important to other people, but for me, it is significant.I have washed these in the washing machine and dried them in the dryer and that actually worked pretty well....but that's not convenient. I'd rather have a half dozen pillowcases to rotate between than bother with washing and drying the whole pillow over and over.If you want these for lumbar support, then I think hygiene becomes much less of an issue & theyd likely be a great choice. If you want these to fill decorative pillow covers, then it's a bargain....but if you want to sleep on them - you better like to sew or know somebody that does.
