Great Value for the Money
This document camera is a great value for the money. If you like technology that is compact, durable and multi functional, this might be the purchase for you.It has a nice amount of features: "Ultra high definition image: 8MP SONY CMOS sensor captures live images up to 3264 x 2448 pixels at 30 fps.Its small size frees up desktop space and its durable multi-joint design allows for excellent capture of 2D and 3D objects. Maximum shooting area: 15.74X11.81 inches.Supplemental LED light and bundled anti-glare sheet help eliminate exposure problems under difficult lighting conditions, allowing you to capture images in both dark and bright environments.Auto-focus lens quickly shifts focus between objects; macro captures objects as close as 10 cm.Built-in microphone works seamlessly with Documate (our bundled application) and other webinar software for PC (Windows 7/8/10), Mac (OS10.10 or higher), and Chromebook (38.00 or higher). Good for Distance Education and Web Conferencing."I recommend this product.

Easy, smooth functionality with lots of perks!
I am in love with my new inSwan document camera! I just got it out of the box, and it was super easy to set up. It is sleek and does not take up a lot of space on my desk. It is so easy to use, and it comes with software that lets you effortlessly take video and photos. You can use it for documents or rotate it up to view your face for video conferencing. You can use it live to show books and things you are writing, and it has on-screen drawing capabilities so that you can draw shapes, lines, arrows, text for freeform drawings over the images you are displaying. You can even pull up images from your computer to draw on. It also has a whiteboard feature to just draw without any images. You can capture all of your notes on top of your images to save for later, and you can copy those notes without the underlying image as well. You can use the selecting tool to capture just parts of your images and notes, and you can save them in a file or copy them to a clipboard to use elsewhere. It's all so simple, intuitive, and user friendly, and it has so many functions I didn't even imagine I could want! It will make my life so much easier! I'd like to thank the designers for thinking of everything. :)

Clear picture but arm is very sensitive
The document camera works well in the classroom. It produces a clear picture on my SMART Board for the children to see. I purchased it in February and by June the arm was broken. It is impossible to use it now. UPDATE - The company is sending me a new replacement document camera.

Easy setup and a clear crisp picture
I was a little concerned before buying this as some reviews suggested it was challenging to get setup. I have no idea what these people are talking about, it couldn't have been easier. You just go on the website, hit the downloads tab, and the download is the first thing you see on the page. Then you plug it in and it's ready to go.The picture quality is very clear, the autofocus, though it takes a minute works very well. There is no zoom button on the actual camera but you can zoom in on the software so that works great. I sampled a few papers and used it with recording software for recording lessons. It works great and I think it will make next school year go much smoother for me. I was hesitant to spend this kind on money on something for school, but I am glad I did. I think it will be such an important tool since I can't teach in person next year. This will allow me to retain some strong teaching practices and put them on video for students.Very happy with my purchase. If you are a teacher, highly recommend!

Works great!
I sacrificed and bought a doc cam with my own money for virtual learning. It's worth the level of engagement I have with my students because I can model clearly for my K students, and they can see the pictures of the books. It's fairly sturdy, but shakes a little if you bump the table, not a huge deal, but give you a sense of the solidness of it. The armature so far has held and stays in place. I did place it on a yoga block to give me more height to show larger picture books and it's great. The light does a decent job since I did have to turn off the lights one day to let a wayward hummingbird fly out of my room. (Didn't work, it took 3 custodians and a vice principal to help it out) I use a MacBook and it is plug and play since it works with Quicktime with Google Meet without using any additional software to download.

Worth it
I am a remote teacher. My district provided a document camera that gave me nothing but trouble. The district-provided camera was constantly freezing and causing my Zoom to shut down mid session. It was happening multiple times in a meeting. I tried updating the drivers, the software, and even asked for a new camera from tech support. It was just a piece of junk. Worse, it was a clunky piece of junk: it needed two cables to plug in, and it had a floating circular toolbar covering half the screen. Finally, in frustration, I purchased the INSWAN document camera out of pocket. SUCH A DIFFERENCE.1. One cable to plug in.2. Intuitive interface.3. I don't have to click constantly between windows -- I can open a small document camera window "on top" of the Google slide or document I'm referencing, without the students seeing the reference document.4. I do have to click the focus button to have it focus sometimes. That might just be that I haven't played with the settings enough.5. The toolbar isn't intrusive.6. Does not cause my Zoom to shut down.Totally worth the money!
