This may sound silly, but I was going to replace my tv because it stopped responding to the original remote and manual commands. It was stuck in Spanish despite me changing the language to English several times. The other buttons also only worked sporadically.I don’t know what possessed me to order the remote, but I’m glad I did. It looks the same as the original and I knew I had an insignia tv (too lazy to clime up to see the model). Figured, l’d be out a couple of bucks in the worst case scenario.With the new remote, To my surprise, the TV reverted to English and I can now use the sleep mode once again!!!! I guess I’ll get a some more juice out of it!Thank you for carrying these!

Well I got a free tv from work. It was suppose to be broken. Well with a little investigating I figured out the issue. Now I have a working tv with no remote. Well I bought this one and it worked as soon as I put batteries in it. I can’t say this about a lot of items I’ve purchased but this is one of the best items I’ve ever bought. The price is right. And worked immediately. A great find and buy. Works on many insignia models. Just look at your model #. Super happy

I have an Insignia TV that is probably five years old. The original remote still works but something came loose because you have to give it a good smack every time you want to use it. Like others stated no programming was required. I just removed the batteries from the old remote and put them in the new one and it worked instantly.

What can I say. It worked perfectly out of the bag. I simply put batteries in it and started watching TV. I'm kinda surprised to find it, much less so inexpensively. My only negative comment is that there's a big label near the bottom that simply says "Remote" and is on crooked. It's hilarious to look at actually. It's fine for a replacement remote for an old TV though and at the cheap price I'm not complaining.

The remote was identical to the one that came with the Insignia TV that I had. The original remote had several keys that did not work, like they were worn out. This remote I bought worked fine for about a month. The main keys that I used were ok at first and then one by one they became nonfunctional. It's like the insides of both the remotes dried up and just stopped working. I took my original remote apart and cleaned the contacts by following instructions on YouTube. It helped for 1 or 2 keys but they eventually stopped working again. The keys on the new remote that I bought from Amazon gradually stopped working as well. I will not invest in another one. Now I just use a universal remote.

I'm currently on my 3rd one of these because my 1 year old Shepherd destroyed the other two. But for the price I'm not mad. I'm buying a couple more as back up although hopefully I don't forget again to hide the remote when it's not in use.At first I was concerned when I didn't see instructions or a list of program codes BUT...it wasn't needed. I put in the batteries and the remote worked right away on my Insignia TV.

This is a replacement remote for my Insignia tv. It works perfectly. And the price is great!

Insignia NS PDP42. - took a chance on this remote and it works! Put in two AAA batteries and it was good to go. So thankful.
