Great for exploring the history of Reiki
This is one of the first books that truly begun to explore the real history of Reiki - and Frank Arjava Petter is the precursor of such reasearch.The author, Petter, has done a lot of research to provide readers with this book and the true history of Reiki. Along with history, Petter provides us with tips and additional practical information about Reiki practice. This book will improve the way how you work with Reiki energy.Although, as the time passed, the content of this book may seem a bit outdated - other authors have explored the history of Reiki further, and even Petter himself wrote an updated "This is Reiki" book, which is even better. Still, if you wish to begin studying the history of Reiki, this is the first book to get.

REIKI is so simple that it stumbles the mind.Once initiated, REIKI teaches you.There is no real need to know more about Dr. Usui.HOWEVER: if YOU are deeply involved with REIKI,the info here will interest and edify you.Worth reading!

Not much about Dr. Usui at all
I don't know why this book is being promoted as being about "The Legacy of Dr. Usui." It's really just the author's random thoughts about modern Reiki culture, interspersed with Osho quotes and random thoughts about modern pop psychology. What does this have to do with Reiki? really, I wish I hadn't wasted the money. It also includes Dr. Usui 's horoscope and numerology character-analysis. What? I don't find that to be terribly useful. I want to know more real information about the man. This did not do that. Buy another book!

I found this book very interesting and helpful for Reiki Level II students. In my opinion it helps the student to look deeper into the Reiki system of healing
