Excellent, concise
This book, as well as the teachings, are excellent. I believe that, many times, as in the case of this book, I paid too much attention to Amazon reviews (the irony) and other nonsense like the size of the book, instead of my own intuition. While the healing sounds may seem simple, they are so effective that it's extremely helpful to know as much about them as possible. The other "small" passages, as well as the intro to the sounds, are very helpful and healing as well.Edit: I do have to say though, some of the book seems very serious or even somewhat impractical. Always best to use your own judgment, as well.

Remove stress and other toxins from the physical body
I first read this book in the early '90s. I went through the exercises and felt very light and buoyant in my body. Several years later, my liver was severely damaged in an accident. Fortunately, I recalled the movements, posture, and sound for the liver. In less than three days I went from not being able to eat at all, because my liver simply was not working, to eating again. The book is a wonderful resource for anyone interested in the Tao, self-healing, or a more subtle energy cleansing to compliment yoga, tai chi, daily life.

Good medicine, do it yourself
A good friend told me about Mantak Chia. The six healing sounds work. I have needed help as do most of us and this puts your well being in your own hands rather than someone else. I am sure we will all need all the help we can get in the coming times.

Good, but missing a digital audio with Kindle
This is a quick and easy read, but obviously requires review to really learn the details. Some good information about benefits and recommendations for certain ailments/ emotional states. I was a bit disappointed that the Kindle version didn’t have a digital download accompanying it. The printed version has a 40 minute CD. I just assumed there were digital offerings as the Kindle version is almost the same price. Therefore, I can’t justify getting this version unless you have a really small apartment like me & don‘t need CD clutter!

Refreshing
The book is a simple read and easy to understand. I am using this to deal with an inflammation issue in my body. I am taking my time and trying not to rush any healing of whatever I have. It is relaxing and peaceful. Given the current Covid-19 virus and what people are suffering from for me it is refreshing and now my family is getting involved in this process. I do not recommend rushing through the exercises because it may delay the healing process or cause some harm. I also recommend contacting an organization that deals with this form of therapy in your area.

Great everyday practice for my overall wellbeing.
I practiced the Six Healing Sounds for several years and when I stopped I felt not as healthy and balanced as before, so I started again. My first version was written in German. This is my first english version and I love it.

The CD is Worth the Price of the Book
The CD demonstrating all 6 of these healing sounds is great. I listen to it on my iPod and it gives a nice breathing workout. The book - actually more of a booklet - is slim but it does the job of illustrating the hand and body movements that go along with the sounds. But does any of this actually work? I went through a phase where I practiced Master Chia's Inner Smile meditation, followed by his Microcosmic Orbit meditation, then a little bit of chi gung, followed by the 108 tai chi form, and ended with the 6 healing sounds to cool down... and it sucked up over an hour of my mornings. I just don't have that kind of time to devote to it, fascinating as it is. Also, there is a warning on Master Chia's books that performing these ancient practices without the assistance of a certified Universal Tao trainer could be dangerous to one's health. I laughed that off at first... heck, I've been practicing tai chi for nearly 15 years, I know my way around chi... now I'm not so sure, having recently suffered a serious relapse of my chronic autoimmune disease within a month or two of practicing the above-mentioned exercises on my own. I'm concerned I may have done some permanent damage to the nerves, veins or tendons in my arms.
