Plugged it in and could feel sufficient heat within about 5 minutes. The lizard loves it!!

I used this heater and temp controller to build a wintertime proofing box for my sourdough baking. I keep the house cool in the winter, so I needed just a little bit of heat to make my bread proofing work better. This controller/heater combo has worked perfectly for this.I stuck the heater to a cheap quarter sheet pan, and then stuck it inside of a big styrofoam cooler. I dropped the temp probe in and set the controller to 78F. It heated up rather quickly -- within 20 minutes, and kept the temp as steady as you can expect for a basic on/off controller.With nothing in the cooler, the temp goes up to about 80 degrees after the heater cuts off, and drops to about 76 after the heater kicks on before starting to climb again. Of course with something in the cooler, the swing isn't as big. The important thing is that it keeps my dough at around 76 degrees for the duration of proofing -- which it does just fine.The heating mat gets warm to the touch, but according to my IR gun doesn't get much above 105F, which is perfect. The temp probe appears to be accurate enough too for the air temp in the box, which I verified using my ThermaPen and the IR gun.Overall it works great for what I'm using it for!

Very easy to assemble and place onto our crabs tank. Simple instructions, takes less then 2 minutes to be up and running. Thermostat allows for easy keeping of temperature

I chose this for my hermit crab tank. I rarely feel heat come from it, and it will not heat up a 10 gall aquarium tank. I have it on the backside vs the bottom since the tank has several inches of sand so my hermit crabs can molt. I find that my crabs will hang out by the tank wall where the pad is in order to get what bit of heat they can get. I got this for my tank since it was a recommendation on a good way to heat the tank without using a light bulb. You can't control the heat, nor can you adjust the pad once you stick it to the tank. It sticks fairly well except for where the cord is, it wants to hang off a bit in that area. It's a nice pad, but not a good option for a hermit crab tank.

This has been a great addition to the habitat for our Lizard. We placed it on the left side of glass and it has been keeping the lizard warm and often we see him laying up against the glass to warm up.

Oh yes, beardie loves this under her sand. Where i live is COLD. So she thinks it's great haha

I really wanted to love this product. There were so many great things about it. We had it for almost a full year and never had any problems with the actual heating. We had it on a timer and was on 12hrs a day. It worked great.My biggest complaint was the adhesive. Within a couple days of applying it, parts of the outer edge peeled off. The rest of the pad stayed in place for the rest of the year. We never took it off, moved it, or anything. We just left the outer edge peeling off. It never got worse than what happened initially. Occasionally I would go and press it back on and it would stay for a few days and then those same portions would peel off again.So overall it was fine and served our purposes. The entire thing didn’t stay adhered, but it never shifted enough to cause problems. And the heating worked really well

I bought the one with a thermostat and I love it. I highly recommend it.

I needed a smaller sized heating pad for seedlings, and this is working great, I followed the instructions, and I have double checked the temperature with another sensor and it's spot on and working great! The temperature control module is wonderful, read the instructions and you won't have an issue controlling the temperature or changing between C or F.

Easy to stick on, and it came with little plastic nubs to put on the corners of the tank to raise it up off the surface. I have had it plugged in for two weeks now, and have had absolutely no troubles! It stays at the same consistent temperature.

I purchased this combo for a ball python terarium with coconut husk substrate. Cleaned under the tank with 99% iso alchohol dried it off and attached the heat pad. Take your time going over the pad you will see a color change to grey when it really bonds to the glass when looking inside the tank. I installed the probe down the corner of the tank and belowe the substrate woth scotch tape to prevent it from moving and also to get am accurate reading from the glass and not just above the substrate as they tend to burrow when coiling in their hide. I have a 50 gal tank other pets may benefot from a larger pad with a tak this size how ever i was just trying to heek the hot side hide at 90 which is where ball pythons typicaly spend their time is in them. Happy with the product. You will hear a kind of loud click when it turns on to adjust temp which some people may find annoying however I like the sound as it tells me these system is functioning properly I had previously had a Zoo Med pad without a regulator which lasted years but unfortunately the tank got moved there was not adequate ventilation and the pad overheated shorted out and caused a minor burn to my snake hearing it click on lets me know everything is functioning properly.

Cheaper than what was available in my local store an works just fin. It would be nice to have a temp adjustment, but in all honesty, since I installed it, my tank is holding the exact temp it needs to be.
