Carote Nonstick Woks and Stir Fry Pans with Glass Lid,Granite Coating Wok Pan,12-Inch,Black

I bought this pan about 2 months ago to replace a Teflon coated frying pan that was warping and had damage to the surface. When I first washed it, I noticed that when I tipped the pan on edge, most of the water ran off, leaving a nearly dry surface. I have since fried eggs eggs many times and had no trouble removing them from the pan. Previous ceramic pans of mine have been ruined by frying in oil, which led to a build up of burnt oil coating the surface. I don't use oil with this pan. I use dish soap when cleaning to make sure there is no oil residue left from the food.The bottom surface of this pan is still flat, so there has been no warping.The cooking surface is not very smooth, (like granite ware) but seems to be extremely durable.I do not plan on using any metal utensils with this pan.I can't think of anything bad to say about this pan, or the lid, or handle, and I expect it to last longer than I do (I am 68).

The wok is great for cooking a lot of dishes! It is deep and wide, and the cover provided with it helps a lot. The top sides of the wok don’t really get that heated on my induction stove though, but I’m still able to cook fine with that problem.The ease of cleaning is definitely my favorite part of the wok though!UPDATE: I have been using this for a few weeks and it seems like the nonstick coating is coming off already. There are visible scratches on the bottom. I used a wooden spatula with this.

The handle of this wok broke during the 3rd use. Very disappointng and refund window is past.

I got this because I'm on an eating plan where I eat a LOT of veggies and needed a larger pan for cooking them. I love this one!!! It is non-stick, easy to clean, and the shape is perfect for so many things. The handle makes it easy to lift and dump. I was also happy it came with a lid as some pans like this do not. It is also a good size -- big enough for a large quantity but not too big to handle. Highly recommend!

This Wok is beautiful! I wanted so much for it to work on my induction stove but IT DOES NOT. I cannot speak to its non-stick cooking ability, easy clean up, or durability, because it just does not work on an induction stove top.I gave it 2 stars just because it is a beautiful piece of cook ware.

This wok made cooking home made fried rice incredibly easy. The pot heats up evenly, I put in the oil, butter and garlic and onion and off I go. My husband swears it came from one of the good restaurants that we regularly visit. It is said that you can use metal utensils on it, but I bought a silicone wok spatula, and it does a great job, so I don't have to worry about the future of scratching the pan. It washes simply by hand, with a kitchen sponge, detergent and water in under a minute. I think they may have claimed its' dishwasher safe, but I won't take the chance. This pan is thick but lightweight aluminum type metal coated with granite finish. It is easy to maneuver and has a helper handle and lid. With all the expensive cookware in my kitchen, this is the best one to use for fried rice. I haven't had it long and will update accordingly. Just buy this one.

Permit me to explain. I really looked forward to this purchase as the description made it sound incredible. Upon receiving it I was disappointed but was determined to use it. The problem, to me, is that the outer surface is nice and smooth but the interior cooking surface is surprisingly rough. A feature of a good wok is it's smooth interior surface which allows easy tossing and stirring of the food. This wok's rough surface doesn't allow that. I can only stir things around to a degree with a paddle and cannot swirl or toss around the food at all. Quite a disappointment.Further, per the instructions, the interior surface needs to be seasoned with oil before use. This wok was advertised as "nonstick" and it is definitely not in the aspect of being able to toss the food around while cooking. Clean up on the other hand is pretty easy.I'm disappointed at spending the money on this wok. I ended up donating it to a non-profit thrift store.

I have been buying this cookware over the past months creating a full set. Items have always been perfect and as expected. Although the pans themselves seem indestructible, the lid on top was bent and dented and does not look like it will fit now and make a tight seal as required for different cooking methods and steaming. I do not think I have the tools or know-how to repair. I have taken photos of the damaged lid. If you will provide an email address, I will send you the photos. There is nothing wrong with the wok, but perhaps I can arrange for a replacement lid. I did not open the clear wrapping yet and will wait until I hear back from you. this is the 7th pan I bought from you and all are very high quality and work better than advertised in the many various applications a retired chef puts them in daily. They are a great product that works well and do a wonderful job. Ordering and the delivery have all been top of the line. Please advise of how I can correct this to replace the lid so my set is perfect as I continue to build. I thank "Carote" brands for a great product.

Brilliant! Pleasantly lighter in the hand than first glance would have us think. The surface is nice, pan frying doesn't stick, better than the last stoneware of teflon products I've had.
