Let's start with the bottom line: This book should be taken very seriously.Preamble: There are certain philosophical and moral foundations for investigations of reality, whether conventional or "far out." 1. An investigation should attempt to gather all of the facts that are pertinent to the subject. Leaving out essential facts can lead to erroneous conclusions. 2. The anlaysis of facts and evidence should be as thorough, complete, and valid as humanly possible. 3. The investigators should hold to an attitude of perfect impartiality; any bias is scientifically immoral. Even more immoral is deliberate concealment and lying to support a hidden agenda. 4. Investigators must often exhibit considerable courage to face and overcome opposition from those who oppose new facts, concepts, and conclusions.How does Dr. Greer's investigation stack up with these principles? 1. The investigation has been extremely thorough, with an enormous body of evidence gathered. 2. The analysis of this evidence seems to be carefully done and valid. 3. No bias is evident in the investigator. In constrast, Dr. Greer has uncovered not only bias, but deliberate obstruction of the truth among many of the individuals and agencies investigated. 4. Dr.Greer has displayed a great deal of courage in confronting opposition to his totally justified right to investigate an important phenomenon.In my opinion, Dr. Greer has reached a correct conclusion that there exists a "shadow government" that is more powerful than the visible one, and which has the money and resources to control information and suppress new technology in support of its own goals.

Occasionally, I like to get off the beaten path of my usual scientific reading and see what is happening in the arena of UFO research, which I believe is a phenomenon that is still open to question. I had understood that Steven Greer was at the forefront of this reasearch, so I was eager to pick up a copy of his book. What I discovered however, was a wordy, unsubstantiated series of premisis couched in a sea of pseudo-scientific jardon. Greer, should probably have stayed with his original profession as an M.D. and not have attempted to delve into the realm of physics, which it is clear he has no understanding. Here is a typical example of some of the slurry he writes, apparently to make us think he either has a direct line to the aliens, or an omnipotent God and therefore needs no proof: "absolute, undifferentiated mind, together with the causal idea/sound/thought form and the CIV or astral form create a matrix which supports or gives rise to the so-called material universe. The blue-print, if you will, or ideas/thought/sound and subtle CIV form actually supports and helps create the more gross or expressed material universe. But the material universe has with it the unitive,[?] indivisible absolute mind, as well as the causal and CIV apects...It is incorrect to regard, therefore, these aspects as purely distant 'other dimensions' since the warp and woof of the material cosmos is conscious, thought form based and has astral or CIV matrix with it." Phew! Greer maintains that such things as astral projection, levitation, and telekinesis are proven facts of science and not merely anecdotal, however, I haven't seen this sort of proof cited in any scientific publications. Let's hope that these alien beings that have mastered faster-than-light travel, intra-dimensional travel, and consciousness communication, don't still believe in the old religious dogma that Greer constantly evokes thoughout the book. I'd like to think that these beings have at least shed the superstitions that are on the verge of destroying our society and world. Anyone want to buy a book cheap? I thought Dr. Greer did a good job of organizing the various types of evidence supporting Alien interaction with our world. From scientists to engineers and really a complete cross section of our society and its abilities to observe the hidden world of Alien interaction. However as his evidence shows these civilizations have been around for a very long time and have never shown any real desire to make formal conact. The type of contact that would directly,both prove their exsistance and effect our lives in a positive way. They instead treat us like a huge lab experiment, with the corresponding empericism that one expect from trained scientists. These aliens who can engineer the fundamental forces of nature to both communicate and propel their mode of transportation, only look to observe us as we evolve. They act more like selfish, shallow people who find themselves at the zoo.All reader should take Dr Greers pie in the sky interpretation of the alien agenda with a big grain of salt. READ THIS BOOK FOR THE FACTS IT GIVES AND FORGET ABOUT UTOPIAN FAIRY TALES!!!

After reading a newer publication by Steven M. Greer titled; "Hidden Truth, forbidden knowledge", I felt like I needed some history which led up to it. "Extraterrestrial Contact, the evidence and implications",is that book. This is one of the best written documentations that I have ever read on this subject. Steven M. Greer M.D. is a no-nonsense hands- on researcher and writer. You will not be reading fiction with his books and they hold no punches when it comes to what the public has a right to know. We, the public, have been betrayed and lied to since the 1940s by a shadow government that is not held accountable to anyone. These two books are a must-read for anyone wishing to shed the misled-old-way of thinking and get up to speed on what's really going on.

I like Dr Greers approach to the whole question of E.T.I./human contact. He deals with it, not only from a practical point of view, but also from a spiritual dimension. This book intruduces and outlines the many variety of reasons why ET's may be visiting earth, the hidden realities of covert military operations, and our need, as humans, to understand and employ the science of consciousness.I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a more balanced understanding of the UFO/ET phenomena and of the possible implications for humanity

Even if you only have a passing interest in the UFO subculture, this is a book that encapsulates information that cannot be denied. If you have read other books in the field, then this is a worthy addition. The more people understand of this 'phenomenon' and the hidden world that surrounds and pervades it, the more hope there will be that human beings can bring truth to the fore and change this world for the better.

Excellent book. Essential for all humans. This is full of evidence and the philosophy of contact and consequences thereof. Must read in primary school for all children.
