Note pre attached leg “tines” on bottom of board.Take U-base, and placing feet towards the front of the board AND 6 black dots upwards (towards you now), gently bend and slip “tines” into holes on base. When board finally turned up there should be 8 black dots.All while trying not to scratch the paint.Take the detached latching hook (not hanging hook) and gently pull tines apart so they will stay 1-1.5in (20-30mm) further apart when released. (This is the modification, else latch might release when with moderate ironing pressure).On support rails running under board, locate holes in rails.With the hook of the latch pointing backwards AND upwards (towards you now).Place tines of latch hook into holes in rails, trying not to scratch the paint.Flip board over.DONENOTE: each all-caps “AND” was the mistake I made, and had to backtrack assembly.

I was needing a small ironing board for a small space in a sewing room, something different from the family ironing board elsewhere. This fit the bill exactly. The mechanism for raising the ironing board to the right height is smooth and easy. The cover is thick enough for small jobs though I sometimes lay a towel on top if I feel I need something thicker. This works well.Altogether an excellent buy for what I need.Would recommend for a small space and for easy convenience when you don't need to get out a regular sized board.

replaces my full size ironing board in a small sewing room by sitting on a table I also now use for cutting fabric. this device made all the difference in having some space in the room to be able to get around. big enough for most projects and doesn't tip so the base is wide enough to make it sturdy. nicely padded, too.

I compared this one to a few others on the market before buying.Really happy with this one. So glad I bought it! Just the right size, and is nicely tapered on one end to do collars, blouse sleeves, etc.I really like the overall stability, and that the iron rest plate is located low, out of the way, at the end of the board, so the iron cord doesn't get caught up on it, as I use the iron.No problem with the purchase. Easy transaction. Fast delivery, even during the Covid postage delays.I'd definitely recommend this little great ironing board.

I love this board I sit it on top of my freezer and it's perfect hight for me. I like to press my masks as I make them up.
