Worked great
One of our old dogs had a persistent cough and mucus nasal sneeze. This helped him immensely and made him much more comfortable in his final months.

Sinu-Rite, An Effective Treatment Combo For Feline Herpes
We are multi-cat household of 7 kitties and recently purchased PetAlive Sinu-Rite for one of our Companion pets, Panda, a neighborhood rescue, who was diagnosed a few months ago, at six months of age, with the Feline Herpes virus, also known as feline viral rhinopneumonitis (FVR). Anyone reading this and familiar with the symptoms of this disease is aware that coughing, sneezing, watery eyes, runny, snotty nose and a chronic nasal congestion are all part of the territory, along with reduced appetite. Definitely not fun for baby Kitty in our multi-cat household and causes much stress and consternation among pet guardians such as myself. A trip to the Vet began a treatment of antibiotics over a period of 3 months. My Vet first started her on a dosage of the antibiotic Clavomox and then when that proved ineffective, a few months later, the more powerful, Zeniquin was prescribed. Both antibiotics had varying degrees of effectiveness but eventually Panda's symptoms returned and she became even sicker. My Vet wisely decided to discontinue prescribing any further antibiotics due in part to Panda's less than robust immune system's ability to fight off the infection. It was during this time I began a lengthy amount of research and study on this disease and was disappointed by the lack of any known cure. After visiting several cat sites and forums as well as veterinarian medical websites, I became aware that the treatment methodology that seemed to give the best results consisted of a combination of L-Lsyine and Sinu-Rite tablets. This methodology may vary for others who might try this but we did this for two weeks straight. My wife and I started her on 3x daily dosage of 2mL-Lsyine, a vital amino acid, from Enisyl-F, administered by needle-less syringe pump, along with administering the Sinu-Rite tablets 4x daily over an 8 hour period. In case you are wondering, we choose the Enisyl-F because of its more concentrated formula. Thankfully, Panda had been trained by my wife to take other medicines orally and so she was able to take the Sinu-Rite tablets by mouth without much fuss.Within a matter of a few days following her treatment, Panda's condition gradually began to show a marked improvement as her symptoms of sneezing, watery eyes, coughing, runny, snotty nose and nasal congestion began to dissipate. Over the next several more weeks that followed, her overall symptoms subsided considerably. As of today, we have cut back on the L-Lysine to 1x daily at the recommended dosage of 2mL but have continued with the Sinu-Rite at 2x daily only as a precaution. I think we will eventually stop the Sinu-Rite but keep it handy at the slightest hint of any flare up. I am so happy and relieved to report her appetite has returned to normal and she is eating well and happily playing with our other cat kids. My message here is that every case of treating the symptoms of this dreadful disease maybe different but it definitely requires patience and persistence as the keys to treating and controlling the symptoms and because there is no cure, you have to remember to continue with the treatments in order to give the medicine combo time to work.

Great product with one exception
So this product works like a charm if you give the full five doses. I've given it less and have ended up having to give more steroids which is what I'm trying to limit. I still have to give steroids, but I've been able to cut them down to every three or four days which eliminates their toxic side effects. I am lucky that I am in a position right now that I'm able to give the full five doses of Sinu-Rite, but most people aren't. Though, if you gave one first thing in a.m., then another before you leave, then as soon as you get home and one before bed you could come close. Here's something I haven't seen in the reviews though. I live in California and we have stricter toxic additives laws. So on the invoice because of Proposition 65 here in California, they have to disclose that there is something in this product that is a known cancer causing agent. I contacted Miles-Kimball and they said even naturally occurring substances have to be declared because of the law and that the product is very safe. They did not tell me what the ingredient was. My dog is 17, so I weighed the pros and cons, ran it by my doctor and decided she was more likely to suffer ill effects from frequent steroid use then these. Even if this does cause cancer it would take years to develop which most likely my girl doesn't have. But if I had a young animal, I don't know that I would risk it. I think California is the only state that has to declare it, so just a heads up for the rest of the country. I gave it four stars because it works great, but because of the uncertainty of whatever ingredient is involved I couldn't give it five.

Hasnt worked for my little guy.
Been giving it to my cat for a few weeks....doesn't seem to have helped. He has lots of upper respiratory issues and has been off and on antibiotics. He has herpes too. Poor little guy still coughs and sneezes. I'm going to keep giving it to him though since I have it in the hopes that it may help after awhile.

Excellent Product!
My little dog started suffering from nasal problems and it just grew worse over the months. She was congested with unbelievable amounts of snot. She would get a few minutes of relief when she could sneeze some of it out .... but it continued to get worse. I tried Benydryl and Zyrtec. She went through 3 different types of antibiotics. The vet ended up removing 2 slightly loose teeths, assuming the problems might be because of a tooth infection. The x-rays, a nasal flush, and tooth extraction cost $500. For a couple of days there was minimal congestion / drainage ... but then it started getting worse, again. Me and my vet were at a loss.I decided at that point to keep her on a regular schedule of 4 Sinu-Rite tablets a day. It's been a little over a week now and she has shown drastic improvement. Very, very little congestion (and usually only when it is time for another pill) ... and only the occasional sneeze, producing little to no snot. The only downside seems to be that you have to pretty-much keep your pet on the tablets...or at least it seems. In a month or two, I may take her off of Sinu-Rite to see how she does.I would recommend that you first have your vet rule out a more serious cause of the congestion / drainage ... such as tooth problems, polyps, and nasal cancer. My dog did have a couple of teeth extracted (when antibiotics weren't working) ... and x-rays / blood tests didn't show anything unusual.I highly recommend this product.
