Incredibly high quality. So worth it
I am about to start my first clinical rotation soon; I am thrilled that these cards are so well-made and water proof, and don’t seem at all like they’ll scratch easily. Very well made, which is great because I’ll likely use them even after nursing school.I plan to study them at home, but for clinicals I’ll only pull out the set necessary for each rotation because they are kinda hefty— that’s the trade-off for being so well-made and long-lasting so it’s fine! No need to take the entire set with me, anyway. There’s an index/table of contents and the cards are color-coded for cardiology, peds, OB/L&D, neuro, lab values etc etc there’s SO much there even medical Spanish! They are slightly larger than most badge reels I’d say, but not by much and they have a perfectly placed notch to feed through a holder if you wanted to put a few behind your badge for quick reference. They do have a holder that comes with it along with a hard carrying case, but I haven’t tried to put them on the holder it comes with.I am super happy with this item, the rating/reviews did not disappoint! I can’t wait to be extra prepared for pop-quizzes from my clinical instructor (:

Here's what's lacking...
Lacking or not UTD: TRALI transfusion reaction definition & treatment High Sensitivity troponin description/parameters-for heart damage/MI diagnosis No Torsades de Pointes graphic TNK (Tenecteplase- newest clot buster for strokes) More effective than tPA tPA (Alteplase-also a clot buster) for pulmonary embolisms, heart attacks Ketone Beta hydroxybutyrate for DKA diagnosis-description and lab parameters Bioterrorism agents, pictures/description of symptoms and treatmentsMalignant Hypothermia infoThis being said, there is a lot of well-presented information- it's overwhelming. If you've' been a nurse in any sort of critical care setting, you will already be familiar with most of the info presented here. But good reference for the rest. Seems great for new nurses- bought this for a new nurse as a gift

Organized easy to read quick reference cards
Colorful, easy to read info printed directly on sturdy plastic cards. Not exactly “pocket-size” but manageable if you only carry a few at a time. Cards are well-organized and color-coded by topic for quick-reference.All cards are exactly the same size with rounded corners (not sharp.) The corner hole punch for the ring is in the same spot on every card, and the set comes with large ring that fits the whole set. The whole pack would be pretty bulky to carry in your pocket. (Cards are roughly 3.5 x 5 in., and stacked together ~1.75 in thick.) Conveniently, the set comes with a plastic storage box with a flip open lid. It’s great for keeping the cards that are not being used organized. You have to remove the ring to fit the cards in the box, but it’s a quick-open hinged ring, so easy to manage. These might sound like silly details, but these details give this set an edge over a competitor: competitor laminated cards are bigger (~1/4 in wasted space on each edge for laminating), edges can be a little sharp, cards are not cut exactly the same size so punched holes don’t line up. Also no ring, no case provided — just a stack of slippery cards.)I bought these for my son in nursing school. I’ve been a nurse for >35 years, and wish I had ordered a set for myself!

Great studying and resource tool!
I purchased this for my daughter's boyfriend, who is studying to become a nurse. He finds it to be a great study tool and intends to continue using it as a reference in the future. The packaging is excellent, the material is of high quality, sturdy, and durable, and it contains well-summarized and accessible information.
