Best Thermos
The media could not be loaded. This Thermos is what I've been searching for for years. My daughter has to take lunch to school and we both were tired of packing cold foods such as lunch meat sandwiches/cold cuts, salads, tuna etc over the years. I wanted her to have a healthy meal during lunch while eating at school. She has taken spaghetti, chicken, macaroni & cheese, vegetables such as green beans, broccoli, zucchini, etc. It really works. Inside the Thermos it has 2 compartments for food and there is still the inside of the Thermos for a lot more food. One compartment is for smaller foods such as vegetables, and the other is fo more food such as spaghetti, lasagna, or whatever it is you would like. In the morning I boil hot water, I put about a cup of the boiling water inside the Thermos, and then I put the hot food in each compartment, seal it with the leak proof lid and put on the top to the Thermos. I do this about 7:30 am, my daughter has lunch at 12:30 pm, and she says the food is warm. I would definitely recommend this thermos for those moms/dads looking for a Thermos for their kids lunch.

No more cold lunch!
I’m a conservationist and usually take lunch wherever I’m at where I have no access to microwave or stove. I decided to purchase this product to test it out. I heat up my chicken on the microwave at home, and cook fresh rice to fill it up on my thermos. I then use the medium size bowl that has a orange grip ring to close up my thermos to trap heat. I then toss scrambled eggs on that same medium bowl, then I seal it with the plastic lid that locks the medium bowl, and if you push it down more, it’ll lock again but with the thermos for extra lock. Lastly I put on the thermos lid. 6 hours later my food is still very warm. Make sure you’re food is HOT before putting it on the thermos I promise it’ll work.

Does not keep hot or cold.
I bought this for my husband in hopes of him being able to pack lunches that would be morefilling and healthier than sandwiches. It does not hold temperatures well, hot or cold. I read it can do both, and unfortunately his coldfoodeas cooked and his hot food was luke warm. The container has already been donated to thrift. Pay the e tractor a real thermos.

Got it to make yogurt
I needed something to make yogurt that would do so in a closed environment that was not the oven, was stainless steel, and didn’t take up a lot of space like electric yogurt makers. Having something that has a high storage capacity for making double batches was also desired. This container is what I settled on.I did pre-warm the container with boiled water until it was approximately down to a couple degrees over 120 degrees Fahrenheit as I expected some heat loss over the course of 6-8 hours. And guess what? It did the trick! My yogurt, after 6 hours, has a nice texture and consistency, which is far superior than when I used the oven method. It retains heat well enough for the desired effect. I did take the boiled water, placed it in the larger lidded bowl that came with the unit to help with even and consistent heat retention. This was a good call on my part to promote an ideal environment for the cultures. One thing I did do was placing the whole container in an insulated sleeve I had of approximately the same shape and height (ish). While not made to fit this exactly, it does the trick. Would like to see something like this as an add-on in the future for the actual product. It does leak if tilted or turned upside down. Putting in the other bowl inside with the flexible lid does help reduce the amount that leaks out but it is not perfect. I think the main container needs a gasket of some sort to be just right in this regard. All in all, I am pleased with the results! It doesn’t get full marks from me but I still do recommend it, as long as you don’t have intention of it being on its side or anything. I think of it sloshes a little it’s ok but that’s about the extent that I believe it can tolerate without making a complete mess.In the event some miss it, here is what the manufacturer suggests to prevent leaking:“How to Prevent Leakage: When sealing the plastic lid, make sure it covers the entire opening of the jar, not only the topmost container. Place it upright to prevent leakage. Not recommend to swing or upside down, or the soup will be leaking.”

Four hours later still 130 degree
Unlike one of the reviewers' picture, the one I received has no brand no instruction, nothing but the thermos itself. Not the best design like some of the Japanese ones. But it's the only one available in US that's all stainless steel that I could find.I tested it with boiling water and measured it after 4 hours, it's dropped to 130 degree, still pretty hot. And after 12 hrs it's still warm to touch. So I'd say it's working. Will try using it for actually lunch see how it goes, especially if it's not liquid. Afterall, not everyone make soup all the time, hope it will hold non-liquid food hot too.Update: after having it for so long, finally we fine an opportunity to use it. With covid, it's harder to go to restaurant, so we made our own lunch and go for picnic. I made rib and potatoes for the bottom, rice for the middle and vegi go on top. I use my finger to measure the height so I don't overfilled each layer. Three hours later, our lunch still hot. It was pretty cool out today. This container has enough for a two person lunch. So happy to have hot homemade meal in the park.

No extra plastic caps
I like this product very much. It was delivered in a timely manner. It is well made and worth the price I soaked it overnight in a mixture of vinegar and water. After that, I boiled some water and poured it in; that was about 9: a.m. When I returned home at approximately 7:p.m., it was still high warm.My one concern is that it does not come with extra plastic caps, since they tend to get worn and break. Because of this I am seriously thinking of returning it. (I really like it). By the way, they cannot be purchased separately. Also, it did not come with a packing slip and there was no care instructions inserted in the packaging or on the box it came in. I had to go online for that. This is a mixed review. Sorry about that.
