Great for small items
Useful for my hobbies which have small parts, screws, etc.

If you work with electronics or at least tinker with them, buy one.
So far I have only used it to disassemble devices but it has been very handy and helpful. Before I would put screws and components into an egg carton and keep track of the order I disassembled them in. With this mat and the grid you can put the screws on it seems to be oversimplified but it works pretty well...just as long as you are paying attention to what you are doing. The material is very soft and has a little bit of texture too it but when you hold it and fold or stretch it you can tell it is of pretty good quality, not the cheap one you expect will tear within a month or less. I have not done any soldering on it yet but I did put a soldering iron to it for a few minutes and there was not scotching or discoloration from the heat. I got the smaller mat since I am a hobbyist and DIYer but if you are an enthusiast, like working or bigger projects or a professional I recommend getting the bigger mat. ( We know that we never seem to have enough space ).

Great mat, was so nice while working on my mid 2012 13" Macbook Pro
I loved watching the youtube channel My Mate Vince, a guy from the UK that fixes broken electronics as a hobby (he's not an expert just a handy guy that reasons through electronic trouble shooting). He has a similar big blue silicone mat that he uses in his videos, and I wanted to get one just like it. I bought the biggest mat they have, it's a nice big size, and lots of great little spots to store parts and magnet areas to hold screws. I used it the other day to completely disassemble my mid 2012 13" Macbook Pro to replace the keyboard, hard drive, and ram. Anyone who has done this type of project knows that there are a million little screws of differing sizes to keep track of (the keyboard alone had over 50 tiny screws to remove), and having all the little compartments and magnetic spots on this mat was a total life saver, I was able to get the laptop apart, upgraded, and back together without any leftover screws! This is a great mat, very happy with purchase (haven't used it yet with soldering, but can't see why it wouldn't perform exactly as expected for that as well).

Great for the price, don't expect perfection
I wanted a mat to protect my table from occasional solder drops or the soldering iron itself. This mat works as expected, but as a simple silicon mat, it doesn't offer the ESD protection of an ESD mat and may not handle sustained temperatures very well. If you are looking for something for minor protection, this mat works great and the color makes it easy to see components.

Works perfectly 👌
Can't beat the deal on the street. It's big, it's static free........I may buy three

I didn't know I needed this....
This soldering and work pad is fantastic. I didn't know there was magnetic sections for your screws and other magnetic parts and has enough working space making it perfect for all my RC needs.

Arts and crafts!
I wished I would've bought a bigger mat! The accessories mat it extra nice! I will give another video review after used my glue gun and saudering iron.

Works great
Does what it's supposed to. Will temporarily warp/bubble if you use hot air on a small circuit board, however, it is temporary.
