Excellent quaaity and charges my 9V battery in less than 1 hour.
Makita products are not cheap but they are excellent quality, and do the job. This charger makes it easy to slide the battery in, charges quickly, and is solid (heavier than the other chargers). I discarded aother charer because I had to struggle to slide the battery in, then it would not hold the battery so I had to keep pushing the battery in to get it fully charged. This charger is fast and very reliable. Well worth the cost.

Works. More convenient than two single rapid chargers.
Well initially I was skeptical about only paying $50 for something that’s closer to $180 new from Makita. When it arrived it wasn’t in a Makita box, had no paperwork, nothing. It looked like new quality, but I ordered a “new” one so this seemed odd. For the price I’m not surprised. It works and seems like a legit Makita product.I have multiple single Mikita rapid chargers that work great, but sometimes it’d be more convenient to have one plug, one device to carry around. This works fine. Only difference I’ve noticed is that the fans never shut off until the batteries have been removed. The single chargers shut off the fan automatically once the battery is fully charged. I like that better because I’m not always around to remove them when they’re done. I’d be concerned leaving the fan running all the time.*** Edit ***Did find that a while after the charging light turns green, the fan does in fact shut off.

one is too small, 4 is too many?
We all have those moments when finally we are getting stuff done and moving and grooving, then the battery dies...You had multiple batteries to begin with yet for some reason you only had initial one charged up.sure you can get 4 unit at once but that seemed too bulky for my DIY level space, so i got this, now I can rapid charge my Makita batteries 2 at once, while single one came with some tool goes in my "to go" bag for "just in case"very nice, seems like the package that HD uses (yes one of those hard plastic heat adhered case from hell to stress you out unless you have a good knife or multitool) all were in including manual, registration paper etc. material and all are the same as the one comes with makita, and it is Rapid charge version.very nice purchase I have made.

fine charger
Works great. Little fan blowing in it is the only noise but not too loud. Lights to let you know when charging is done and the fan shuts off. I like it.

This can keep up!!
I run through about ten 5.0 batteries a day at work. This charger keeps up with them. At the end of the day I put the last used batteries on the charger and come back to ten fully charged. The unit shuts off after no change in use once batteries are charged. It's genuine Makita, not a knockoff. The only downfall is it only charges two batteries at a time. 1 and 3, and 2 and 4. Im sure due to heat (which i have not experienced). Not a problem if you have multiple. Mounts well.I'd buy again.

Recent addition to my collection of tools and stuff. This charger works well and is made well, I like it and price was fair.

Great charger, very much designed to charge well and fast.
This is Makita charger for two batteries at the same time. Very simple, has intuitive set up to cool batteries with active very quiet fan inside it that blows air through the batteries while charging them. There is a convenient USB (1.5A) port via which you can charge your phone or another device. It is quite heavy - there is a lot of electronics inside it. Also this charger does not come with ability to be hung on a wall - it is a stationary device for flat surfaces. It has several different melodies for indicating when battery is fully charged - if you insert and remove battery within 5 seconds, melody would switch to the next one. Melodies will stay set the way you set them as long as you do not take out battery within 5 seconds off the charger. It has silent option as well.

Wish I had bought this sooner.
I hemmed and hawed about this purchase for a long time and finally pulled the trigger. For just a few bucks more than the dual charger, I got this one that can charge 2+2. The big selling point for me was that it is wall mountable. I am fixing up a basement utility room as my home workshop and I want as many things out of the way as possible.I frequently use more than 4 of my Makita cordless tools at a time so being able to keep all the batteries fresh is a big deal. If you are in that position as well, I highly recommend this charger over some of the other options.I am not going to go into the same detail as other reviewers, I think they have answered the bulk of the questions and discussed the chargers capabilities and drawbacks. I do want to point out one thing: The LEDs will flash as long as this thing has power. I am OCD and that bothers me so I will be installing it with a switched outlet so I can turn the whole thing off when I am not using it.
