Works Very well. I use it to scan VIN numbers at work, as well as regular part bar codes. Very easy to program, the manual included is easy to read and follow. If you want to change any functionality of the scanner, they give you quite a few options that you can enable/disable, and its very easy to do so, you simply find what you want to change in the manual scan a bar code to enter set up, scan the bar code that will enable/disable the function then scan the exit setup bar code. VERY EASY. I'm pretty sure its actually listed somewhere on the product page, but I can confirm that it does not read bar codes on a screen (so far I've tried on an LED monitor and my Iphone) Not a big deal for me as I use it for tangible bar codes. Does not require any drivers or set up, just plug in the dongle and scan. I use it primarily on an Ubuntu machine, but I've used it on my Macbook Pro and windows 10 desktop and had the same good experience.

Opening comment: Works well, simple plug and play connectivity!Quality: The quality is good, it scans the standard barcodes with ease, recognition is visually instant too!Ease of use: Very easy to use, there's two ways to connect, either wirelessly or simply plug in the USB 'dongle' into your pc which connects immediately and away you go! - remember to keep the manual that comes with the scanner, it has barcodes in there to configure it for different functions but the default settings it comes with are perfectly ok for standard use!All in all this is just a solidly made, reliable barcode scanner, great quality with no fuss! - so simple to use - no additional software is needed either which is very handy - I also think it is a great price too for what you're getting! - I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs one!

These have been great. We use them to scan automotive barcodes for taking inventory of new cars. It saves time and prevents errors when recording the 14 digit VIN numbers. It really makes my employees and customers happy to have the quick, error free scans.They are perfect when working with a laptop or even a desktop computer because of the offline mode. We were able to scan all day long then dump them all into our inventory at the end of the day.We also bought the BCST 70 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074M6RTM3/ref=s9_acsd_al_bw_c_x_1_w) in order to have direct to an Android tablet scanning with Bluetooth if you want to be able to scan in real time (it also has a off line mode).

We were short a barcode scanner as I started a special project in our library, so I ordered this after reading many reviews. The directions included were minimal, and at first I had two issues with the scanner: 1) it included an "A" and "B" at the beginning/end of each barcode, which I could not use, and 2) the beep was loud and annoying.I had it ready to send back when I noticed another Amazon reviewer say that Inatek customer service had sent her instructions for changing the volume of the beep, so I gave it a try, e-mailing [email protected] to ask for this. I received an e-mail the next day (I assume due to time change since the rep was in Germany) that included a comprehensive PDF attachment with the barcodes to scan to change the volume and many other things.I still couldn't get the A/B thing figured out, however, so I e-mailed again, and again within a day had another PDF with the codes to turn off the letters and get just the numerical barcode.Using the instructions, I was also able to program an automatic "enter" to save myself another step after scanning each barcode.Now that it's set up correctly, I'm happy with the scanner, though it often takes a second or even third try to get a barcode to scan. Of the hundreds of items I scanned today, I only had three that I gave up on and entered manually. It read barcodes through some thick plastic VHS cases, with which I was pleased. It does take a few seconds to register, so it's not the fastest scanner I've used, but for the occasional use I'll need it for, it should work just fine. I like that it will work either cabled or wirelessly, depending on my needs (and whether I've remembered to charge it).My only complaint is that the comprehensive information is not shipped with the device, or at the very least included in an easy-to-find location on the company's website. If I'd had the PDF documents when I received the scanner, I would have saved three days of entering barcode numbers manually. On the plus side, Inatek's customer service was responsive, so I would recommend that anyone ordering this item and needing to make any changes (especially regarding sound, or using for library barcodes such as Codabar without the A/B and having auto-enter at the end) e-mail Inatek's customer support for these additional documents as soon as placing your order, so you'll have everything you need once the scanner arrives.

-- Attention, mise à jour du commentaire plus bas --Acheté en Janvier 2017, je suis très content de ce lecteur de codes barres, même si l'initialisation a été un peu compliquée au départ (doc fournie bof bof).Au bout de 2 ans, j'ai eu un premier problème : Un miroir s'est décroché à l'intérieur de l'appareil. Il se promenait dedans. Pourtant je ne le maltraite pas... ok, je l'ai ouvert, j'ai refixé le miroir et c'est reparti !Au bout de 3 ans (début février 2020), j'étais en train de scanner divers codes et d'un seul coup, après un scan réussi, le scan suivant : plus de trait rouge ! Impossible de scanner.J'ai beau appuyer sur le gâchette : rien.Ok, je me dis qu'il n'a plus de batterie (ça fait longtemps que je ne l'ai pas branché pour le recharger). donc je le branche au pc, petite lumière rouge au-dessus qui s'allume, et j'essaye de scanner : toujours rien.Pas de laser, pas de scan.Là, je ne vois pas trop comment le réparer. Pas de pb de miroir ou autre truc facile à réparer...Un peu déçu au bout de 3 ans. Évidemment, garantie expirée...Je suis un habitué d'Inateck, car j'ai toujours trouvé leurs produits fiables, efficaces sans être trop cher et je me suis beaucoup équipé chez eux. Du coup un peu déçu du lecteur de code barre, pensant qu'il tiendrai beaucoup plus longtemps !A voir maintenant si je rachète un autre chez Inateck ou ailleurs ...(en plus, ce modèle n'existe plus et les nouveaux sont plus chers ... )=============Mise à jour du 18/02 :- Tout d'abord à savoir : J'ai contacté le service client qui a pris en charge ma demande et à commencé à me poser des questions (genre si je l'avais bien chargé). Normal quoi. Ils n'ont pas eu le temps de me demander autre chose ou de me proposer quelque chose car .... =>- Ensuite, miracle de la technologie ?? ça remarche ! Impossible de savoir vraiment pourquoi. Je l'ai ouvert, soufflé dedans machinalement, refermé, et ça remarche ! Faux contact ? Grosse poussière devant le laser ?Bref, peu importe, il refonctionne ! Du coup tout heureux ! Évidemment, je met à jour tout de suite ce commentaire et je préviens le service client qu'il n'y a plus de problème, en espérant que ça continue comme ça :)

Buena presencia, robusto y efectivo, lee todo tipo de códigos y tiene una larga duración de batería. Muy buen lector con funciones de lectura en bufer y descarga de códigos. Lo único un poco lioso puede ser la programación del mismo que viene en inglés. Hay que echarle un rato para entenderlo bien. Magnífico producto.

Haben heute ca. eine Stunde lang versucht den Scanner ans laufen zu bekommen, die beiliegende Schnellstartanleitung ist ein Witz. Es wird z.B. von Violetten LEDs berichtet, die das Gerät gar nicht hat.Auf der Seite des Herstellers findet man wie bereits öfters schon erwähnt nur die gleiche deutsche Schnellstartanleitung. In Englisch gibt es eine 42 Seiten Anleitung die aber auch nicht zum Erfolg führte.Allerdings findet man auf der Seite auch den Hinweis man soll die Anleitung für den Vorgänger nutzen, was ich dann mal versucht habe und siehe da...gleicher Ablauf aber die Barcodes für die Einrichtung vom Vorgänger genutzt und es funktioniert.(Ich hatte da schon den Rückgabeprozess eingeleitet und ein Modell eines anderen Herstellers im Korb)Meine Vermutung die Barcodes für die Einrichtung der beiliegenden Beschreibung sind schlichtweg falsch und der Scanner kann damit nichts anfangen. Ebenso wie die beschriebenen Farben der LEDs zwecks Statusanzeige (Violette und Gelbe LEDs hat der Scanner gar nicht, meiner jedenfalls hat nur Rot und Grün)Endergebnis nach einer Stunde experimentieren es klappt und das dann sogar auf MAC und WIN...Die Beschreibung ist eine Kastastophe aber die ersten Tests des Geräts waren positiv. Reichweite durch die Halle über ca. 10 m ohne Probleme.5 Sterne würde ich für das Gerät geben wenn es direkt wie in der Anleitung beschrieben funktioniert hätte und der Scanner macht was er soll aber die Einrichtung war ein Glücksfall...Wer kommt auf die Idee die Anleitung vom Vorgänger zur Hand zu nehmen bzw. diese erst einmal auf der Herstellerseite herunterzuladen und auszudrucken aufgrund der Barcodes für die Einrichtung.Am Ende hat es halt geklappt aber das geht auch einfacher...UPDATENachdem ich die Rezession verfasst hatte kam der Händler von sich aus auf uns zu...Ein sehr guter Kundenservice.Mittlerweile haben wir das 2. Modell des Scanners erhalten.Dieser wurde eingesteckt und funktionierte sofort ohne weitere Einrichtung. So hätte ich es auch vom 1. Gerät erwartet. Nun ja vielleicht ein Montagsgerät oder ein Rückläufer der eine fehlerhafte Konfiguration gespeichert hatte.Jedoch die vollständige Anleitung auf der Hompepage sollte der Hersteller schon auch auf Deutsch bereitstellen.Auch wenn wir diese beim 2. Modell nicht gebraucht haben beim 1. wäre dies hilfreich gewesen.Nun ja Ende gut alles gut...Beide Modell laufen einwandfrei. Sollte sich daran was ändern werde ich dies hier ergänzen.

Works fantastically with a Windows 7 PC! Just plug in a go. USB receiver dongle is so small. No range issues in the office. Battery life is well over two weeks ( we scan around 1000 barcodes daily).
