Heng's (68631C2 26" x 26" Exit Vent

The hatch is large, so natural forces acting on it are increased over what effect forces have on a smaller 14" standard vent. My camper has a rounded roof, like a sheep herders wagon. Possibly due to the size and roof shape, lift was immediately a problem, opening the crank mechanism just by driving (aviation forces of lift). Trying duct tape to prevent the crank handle from turning, the aluminum strut used to raise the ventilation hatch simply bent longitudinally and prevented full closure. Upon temporary security (closed shut using bailing wire), upward forces at highway speed forced the unit open again, shattering the plastic lock latch (red in pictures). The product uses much weaker materials than needed for those demanding features, considering the unit's size, and I might add, price. This purchase was a mistake and I cannot seem to reach the company. I will advise against Heng's Brand because of those reasons.

I'm glad to have it, but had some package damage. Had to straighten a couple aluminum corners and the lid on one of the covers has a small crack. I'll patch it up and call it good.Edit: Fits well. I'll patch the shipping damage crack with fiberglass and the put UV treatment on the lid to prolong the life of the plastic.

This exit vent is great. Good size, and easy installation. It does not come with any hardware (screws, etc.) or caulking.

Great replacement as we updated our old trailer.

Not sure why someone said this is flimsy. I installed in on my camper and it works great.
