In our house we don't have an intercom system and texting/calling on the phone is annoying within the house. We work from home in separate offices on separate floors. We started off trying battery powered cheap walkies but the batteries lasted only 2 days when left on.. Then I found this product that was rechargeable ! They are super small, come with a lanyard/belt clip and the range is way more than enough. The battery life is very good too but most of the time i leave it plugged in on my desk.Pros:-Small, lightweight-Range-Battery Life-beltclip/lanyard-place to write user nameCons:-I don't like that it says verbal commands...like charge battery, channel #'s etc... Wish is just has a screen

I am giving this one star because of the directions, or rather lack of them. They are a teeny-tiny two page pamphlet so I took photos of the pages and printed them larger so I could read without a magnifying glass. I figured out how to put the pieces together since there were no directions. There are also no directions about how to set these up. Only directions about what the buttons do and that there is a “vox” and how to change channels. For someone who is unfamiliar with intercoms or walkie-talkies , you are basically screwed. And there is no phone number to call for assistance. I consider myself reasonably intelligent and quite computer savvy, but the lack of information is more than frustrating. I will most like,y send them back.UODATE: I changed this to 4 stars after I figured out how to work them, through no help of the directions. The sound is clear and the range is great for our two story house.

These are great for the price. I got these for my recently disabled father so he can communicate with my mom in the house. They are easy to use, communication is clear and they come with a lanyard and a belt clip for easy travel.

We are using it at home to communicate with each other so we don't have to yell through the house. This works well for disabled gentleman. It is also fairly easy to use for the tech challenged.

These are useful and fun units, worth 5 stars but for a couple details: the buttons on the sides are too easy to bump when pressing the unit into its charger. Often, the next morning they "don't work" because one or more frequency channel has changed. The pocket clips are flimsy too. One broke, but I epoxied it in place. Since ours are charged every night I can't say how long they will hold a charge, and as to range I can say ours work at a half mile loud and clear. We have intervening hills after that and reception faded out about then. As a home emergency device (like at night and bedside) they are ideal. I'm also confident that when the grandchildren arrive the units will totally thrill them. Reasonably priced, too.

These are super easy to use. The vibration feature is great. On a very large cruise ship I only found the ability to communicate between a couple decks unless your in the middle of the ship where there is less interference. For example I could communicate from deck 3 to deck 10. But once you are in a more dense area that gets more restrictive.Battery charge did great, and charging was easy.

These are so well made - solid - small and fits nicely in hand - perfect for us. I was impressed that they didn't need charging when first put the battery pack on. With the volume up, we hear very clear between rooms (no static-- choose best Channel for you. Clip them to our belts (or hang around neck) during the day, and put them on the charger all night (we are older and sleep in separate rooms, so we leave them ON all night in case one of us has an emergency). So far no problem with battery not holding. No more yelling between rooms to be heard, and no more trying to find where the other one is (inside or outside). Best purchase EVER!! I'd buy another set without hesitation.
