Victorinox Swiss Army Serrated Peeler

This is my opinion alone. I have no affiliation.Victorinox not disappointing at all. Makes good products.I was able to peel large size onion without without tears.

I love my potato peeler! I’ve tried a few and won’t try anymore. This one is sharp and well-designed. No need to try anything else. In fact - I did try another one that was supposed to be very sharp and it’s awful and the angle isn’t correct on it. This one is the best and comes in fun colors.

You know how grocery stores have that off-to-the-side bin of sale items? Things they don't ordinarily stock, then they remember why that is when the item doesn't sell? That was my first encounter with this peeler. I needed one for our travel trailer, it was cheap, and of course there was the brand recognition of the same folks who brought us the beloved Swiss Army Knife. Once I used it, I was impressed by the sheer sharpness, the slim ergonomics, and the fact it actually has a USEFUL potato eye remover at the tip. I knew at once I had to purchase another for home.The thing is so sharp, that I can actually never lift the peeler off the veggie, and just use a back-and-forth scraping motion I like to term "stealth mode". Our two Boston Terriers are cutting board groupies, so they are usually underfoot during peeling...aka "The Carrot Show". The only word of caution is that this is SO sharp that I have actually peeled off the top of my thumbnail on a misguided stroke.Buy two. You'll mourn the day when it becomes dull and unusable, and nobody can say how long Victorinox will stay in the vegetable peeler business.

17 years in the restaurant game and these are by far the best peelers we have ever found.Buy bright colors that aren’t orange so they don’t get thrown away with the peelings.

In the picture it looks like it is metal and advertising as Swiss I just assumed it was metal. So far it ok, but it is plastic

Wow, out of all the vegetable and fruit peelers I’ve ever tried in my lifetime and there’ve been many, this one worked the best. First tried it on eggplant, and whereas prior peelers would tend to slip, this one grabbed hold easily. I’m curious to know how long it will last, but for the price even if it’s a few years, I can’t imagine not buying one again. Would highly recommend.
