We bought this for my son's fifth birthday. Within the first day of play, the wheels stopped turning left and right. He is so bummed and we are returning it.On a happier note, his brother got this one: http://www.amazon.com/Maisto-Crawler-Control-Vehicle-Colors/dp/B003ML36HI/ and it is fantastic. The Maisto Crawler is about half the size of this one but it has a heavier plastic body whereas this one is so thin the plastic will bend. Also the Maisto Crawler uses AA and AAA batteries which is very convenient.The Jogoto reviewed here has a rechargeable battery set for the vehicle. When the battery dies, you have to unscrew a tiny screw under the the center part, and disconnect the battery for charging. The plastic pieces that hold the battery also feel like they will not withstand numerous connections and disconnections. The battery can be charged no more than 4-6 hours which means you can't leave it on the charger all night.I was suspicious of the fact that the majority of the 5-star reviews are remarkably similar (note how many are for a four-year old boy and read almost the same), and are NOT verified purchases. If you look at the verified purchase reviews, you will see that most are 1-star reviews. I don't like writing negative reviews but I'm hoping this will help someone else not have a crying birthday boy/girl.

The other one star reviews are precisely what happens to the product. Within a few MINUTES stopped turning right then about a minute later left. Before we could even drive it back to us it stopped completely and made a distinct shredded plastic sound. My son is crushed. He was so excited about getting this for his birthday. Aesthetically Pleasing but useless.

This broke within the first hour of playing with it. I had to send it back, as the 'shocks' would not allow it to turn to the left anymore. It is not very good quality and the suspension is too lose and cheaply made. I would especially not expect this to last with a child going down stairs and what have you.

Just what we needed. We have property in Big Bend and so our terrain is rugged. I was so surprised how well this thing maneuvers over rocks, dirt, ravines. etc. The only downside is the battery power doesn't last too long, but I usually don't need to be out in the Terlingua sun that long anyway, so it's a good excuse to come in!

Do Not Buy. Bought this for my niece for her birthday a month early. The RC could not steer. When trying to return this, I found out that I could not return due to return policy. Save your money and purchase something like this from someone who has a better customer satisfaction rating or make sure it works right away.

Cool, works great so far, battery charger light doesn't turn green when charged. You need to plan charge time for the nicads. The battery door needs to be removed with Phillip head screw each time you pull out battery to charge, so keep the screwdriver handy !

Great little truck. You get what you pay for. If you are looking for a truck that does 70mph and can't jump 90 feet, this is not it and you will need to open up your wallet! You want a nice little RC to mess around with this one is fun for the money!

Servo gears stripped out the third time my son drove it .I knew it was a toy but expected it to last longer . I was supervising and he did nothing out of its scope of operation .
