⭐ WHY I BOUGHT: I'm in my mid 20s and I've been using nose strips since high school. I also grew up in South Korea, so hopefully that gives a basis of where I'm going with this: I'm obsessed with skincare and getting that "glass skin" look. I hate my sebaceous filaments. I know they're natural and I know they're technically not whiteheads or blackheads. I don't care, they still look gross and makes my nose look so much bumpier compared to the rest of my face. I have a different brand of nose strips that I liked to use, but it's not perfect. I'll have good strip sessions but also really bad ones in sort of finicky conditions: if I use too much or too little water, if I leave it on for too long or too short, or even if I sweat too much, the nose strip won't work. Saw this Biore Original on sale, decided to give it a shot because I was running out of my other nose strips anyway. And holy moly I'm never going back. My nose is so soft and smooth I keep booping myself. ⭐ PROS: • It works. Like actually works. I would post some photos but they're disgusting and I'm shy. Believe when I say it's pore-gasm though. • I like the fuzzy exterior because it's very absorbent and doesn't turn sticky when I touch it with wet hands. I feel like I can freely put an ample amount of moisture on the pore strip without worrying if it's too much. • Biggest issue I usually have with pore strips is that due to the curves of my nostrils they create these little air pockets between my skin and the strip so they're not even touching. These strips stick to my nose properly as they should, curves and all. And they stay there. • It dries fast. Normally, my "deep cleanse" full skin routine (yeah, it's an obnoxious 10-step routine but I only do it once every two weeks) would take 1.5 hours and like 40 minutes of it is literally waiting for the pore strip to dry completely so I can peel it off successfully. This strip takes half that time to dry and works twice as well. Almost makes me feel like I'm "half-assing" my routine. ⭐ CONS: • This is more of a pro tip than a con, but a message for people who think this thing doesn't work: you're most likely not exfoliating or opening up your pores properly prior to use. If you just slap it on without prepping your pores you're going to get nothing. That's like trying to pry out a nail without unscrewing it a bit first. • Not for the sensitive skins. The adhesive is pretty strong and if you're not careful, it'll rip your skin off too. My skin is fine but even I won't do it more than once every other week. Try to stretch your cheek away from the strip as you're peeling it off to avoid getting wrinkles. Because it's like basically peeling off strong tape from your face, it might affect your skin elasticity if you're not careful.

Not only removes all my blackheads but also the little tiny hairs that seem to sprout in the corner of my nose. Leaves me with a beautifully clean fresh complexion. Love it.

TERRIBLE - DOESN'T STICK AND WHEN IT DOES BARELY PULLS OUT ANYTHING. WONT BUY AGAIN.

You take these little tape like things and apply them to your nose. It then attaches itself to the blackheads and as you easily peel the tape back, the blackheads will be pulled out. It is very stivky. And has a fairly good result but it depends on yhe individual. It peels well even though it is very stickey. It is a so so value fir your money. 8 patches for your money is not that great. 20 or even 50 patches would make it a great price.

So, I'll admit, it's been years since I've used these Biore strips. Long enough to notice that the "technology" has changed over the years with these strips. The ones I used to use dried much faster and didn't have that cotton-like feel. You simply pulled them from the pouch, wet your nose, wet the strip, apply and then wait 5-10 mins before pulling off. These new strips take longer, have an extra step of peeling them from a piece of plastic and take 10-15 mins to dry (I think it's longer because of that cotton-like backing that probably takes longer to dry) After applying, I noticed it didn't cover down the tip of my nose as it used to. If I moved the strip down, it left part of the bridge of my nose uncovered. So, I ended up using part of another strip afterwards to use for the tip of my nose...kind of a waste of a strip (but I cut the strip to shape, so I'll have excess to use for other times at least lol) Overall, the experience was the same. Once the strip dried, it became that paper mache that I had been used to. Pulling off the strip was easy and not as painful as I'd expected after not using the product for so long. After cleaning up the strip residue and washing my face, I noticed that my nose was a little red. I chalked this up to suffocating my skin for 10-15 mins with the strip and the "glue" it uses lol. The redness went away almost right away, but a puffiness stayed for another 30 mins. Again, nothing alarming, as I monitored to make sure I wasn't having any skin reactions. That said, I do have very sensitive skin, and was ready for this to cause some type of reaction (the old Biore strips did the same things back in the day to my nose). But I was happily surprised that I had no ill effects from the process and today, after about a week after I used the strips, my nose still looks fine. So I think I'll use these now and then going forward.
