How to Draw Type and Influence People

I have to buy it for my typography class, and so far I can say that the book is not damaged at all, it was well packaged, and it arrived on time.

This book is AWESOME! I saw some reviews that said it was for beginners, but I think it can also be applied to those that have already taken typography like myself. This has helped me understand typography beyond the one semester class I took. Sarah Hyndman did an awesome job with this workbook. I enjoy it so much and I look forward to the end of the day when I can wind down and work on this book. The paper material also feels really good to draw on if I must say so myself. I had to take a peak at all the future activities in the book and I cannot wait to complete them!

This will keep you or young charges occupied and intrigued from front to back cover. Everything you need to know about type and lettering and then lots of really creative tasks to do. You realise you are learning more and more about typography and it's impact on you and how it influences everything. It's very clever and very accessible. The way the tasks are laid out and explained is very clear also. Seeing lettering as graphical art in its own right as well as an advertising and command tool is quite addictive. I recommend this for all those who want to doodle to those who want to design. Brilliant

I'm relatively new to typography and I'm loving this book! There's tonnes of knowledge, but it's not overwhelming. It eases you into anything technical and follows up with exercises to help you develop your understanding. The layout is great - there's plenty of space to sketch along, make notes, and practice as you go. The pages are thick, smooth, and easy to work on. Wonderfully designed, well written, and extremely enjoyable. I'd recommend this book to anyone interested in type!

This book is great! It's perfect for anyone who wants to learn typography, from kids to experienced letterers. In fact, I'm buying a second copy for my daughter, who's just getting into what her mom does for a living.
