Sierra's 18-5808D Solenoid comes in a display pack. It is designed for use in Johnson/Evinrude outboard, Mercury outboard, and OMC stern drive applications. Includes one solenoid per package. It is interchangeable with Arco SW622; GLM 72430; MES 1938M; Mallory 9-15104 and 9-15104-10; Mercury Marine 47886 and 47886T; OMC Stern Drive 380095 and 383622; and Johnson/Evinrude Outboard 383622, 389493, 395419, 582708, and 586180. Each Sierra product meets or exceeds the original equipment part it replaces.

Do not waste your money.
So I got this solenoid because my starter was turning slowly. I replaced and ended up doing the same thing, then, I took my boat to my marine mechanic with new starter and this NEW solenoid . Turns out this non -original parts turn out bad in a lot of cases. So he ordered another original part, replaced and turn the motor on in an instant . By that time my "warranty" was over . This part is garbage.

Exact replacement for my original. I used it on my old Mercury 200 20 horespower motor and it was a direct fit. My only gripe was the nuts are metric sizes( 12 and 8mm).

Right Stuff - Right Price.

Wrong voltage sent. Wasted my time.
Unit was supposed to be 12v model as it replaces the 12v model according to specs.After one hour to install (it sits under the starter on 1999 OMC 90 HP) I saw a 6 volt sticker on the side. Of course it would not work and so I had to uninstall and put back the old one. Can't believe it left the factory that way.Otherwise appeared to be of good quality. For a 6v model.
