Typical Tamiya quality
Tamiya, in my opinion continues to set the standard for plastic model kits, and this one is no different. The quality is superb, the lines and casting clear and well defined. I inspected this model as I was washing the parts prior to assembly, ( as I always do ) and I saw absolutely ZERO casting flash or tree trash. The fit of the parts is spot on and the seams where parts fit together needs only minimal building up or sanding to be flawless on hiding the seams. Tamiya is only one of two model brands I will spend my money on, ( I won't mention the other because this is a review for Tamiya, not them ) and this is a classic example of why. You can't go wrong with Tamiya.....

Great plane from Tamiya
Great plane from Tamiya, completed my English fighters second world war collection. I had the choice between three different camouflage. I chose the brown and desert yellow Malta 1942 scheme, I didn't have an English plane that color. The fit and instructions were perfectly clear, as is usually familiar from Tamiya. Also I think Tamiya dropped their price a bit in the last 6 months, very good for me. The shipping from Japan to Canada was fast and good and free overall a very good buy for an excellent English plane that I didn't know beforehand.

1/48 Bristal Beaufighter Mk.VI
Excellent detail. Needs a little more in cockpit if you plan on doing a top job but a good kit.

Excellent 1/48 Beaufighter model - not a toy!!!!!
A stand up Tamiya kit that is a pleasure to build and paint. Expertly planned and detailed, this kit has a lot of features and fits together like flapjacks and a hot plate. I was able to paint the interior and assemble the fuselage and all wings in one afternoon. I like the cabin lay-out, great instructions, as usual with Tamiya and really enjoyed the ease of assembly. Kit comes with two figures (both the same), lots of ordinance and really cool wheel-well features. Nice kit. Five Spitfires for this baby.

Decent kit
For a Tamiya kit, this one is a bit disappointing. Pros: no flash, and crisp moldings along with decent instructions. Cons: Parts fit is not that good. Ended up using putty in several places. Conclusion: The 1/32 scale Revell/monogram kit of this same airplane was overall better fitting then this Tamiya. I have built many Tamiya kits in the past, and this was the first one that had issues with poor fitting parts.
