OWC 0GB Mercury Elite Pro Mini Portable Bus-Powered Storage Enclosure with USB-C and eSATA interfaces, Includes Connection Cables, Add Your own Drives (OWCMEPMTCES)

The enclosure literally feels solid but also stable, no connection problems thus far. The metal material and front grate seem to disapate drive heat well enough -- I won't know for certain until the summer months. I'm using it with a Western Digital 2TB 2.5" 128MB SATA III hard drive for backup and general storage. So, not pushing any speed limits. Performance is consistent nonetheless. Overall, another good product offering by OWC.

These enclosures, OWC 0GB Mercury Elite Pro Mini Portable Bus-Powered Storage Enclosure with USB-C and eSATA, are great. I have 3 of them and they all work perfectly, fast , cool, no headaches. I use the external wall wart for power since I use them mostly for eSATA. I wish they still made them. Grab one up if you can find one.

I purchased 6 of these “OWC 0GB Mercury Elite Pro Mini Portable Bus-Powered Storage Enclosure with USB-C and eSATA” products beginning January 2020, and they worked well.Then a week later I bought 6 of “MiniPro External 2.5-inch eSATA, USB-C External Hard Drive Enclosure” for$49.00, which include the power supply. For a total lower price.I’ve only used them on eSATA interface and not yet USB 3.1 Gen 2. I’m keeping all 12 for the high quality materials, solid build and fast transfer results but will in future prefer to order the OYEN Mini Pro for their lower overall price and compactness.

Solid, well made enclosure that is perfect for use as a permanent external drive. The cheaper plastic variety are probably fine for portable use but I think it's better to have something that stays in place on your desk. I've always found OWC's products to be reliable.

I now own 3 of these enclosures! Quality, price, performance and ease of use! I’ll buy more!

Great for portable ssd drive.

We've used a variety of OWC cases to house hard drives and SSDs over the years, without issues. This one appears to be continuing that trend. Appreciate the collection of connection cables included with it. We're using this one with a Samsung SSD connected thru a Thunderbolt 3 port.

I rated the tech-support with one star because I actually haven’t needed tech-support. The only thing that would’ve made this enclosure better is if it was smaller

Sur Apple il avoir accès à un PC pour faire l’update. Fonctionne bien en raid 0 avec 2ssdToshiba 870 evo/ 2 tuPower supply efficace, presque 900 mb/ sec sur mon Imac 2020

Acheté pour remplacer un boitier Sabrent (beaucoup moins cher), mais qui m'a fait perdre 8To de données juste en le branchant sur un Mac Studio. Parfois il vaut mieux payer plus cher et être tranquille !Voir mon commentaire sur le produit Sabrent pour en savoir plus :)En tous cas ce boitier fonctionne parfaitement depuis plusieurs jours, avec un SSD donc pas de bruit. Les cables fournis sont nombreux (un peu courts cela dit) et l'installation très simple. Rien à redire :)

A very valuable addition to my system, with a 2TB SSD.

This is basically a 5-star item, especially for this price, but I have a few gripes just because I can. It has no sound absorption at all (if anything it seems to make the drive sound louder) and the (very bright) power light (which stays on even when the drive spins down) is inside the only ventilation, so in other words, it's pretty, but it's loud and bright. Aluminum edges and screw holes are a bit roughly machined so they don't line up 100% cleanly and bind to anything they touch, but I'm being picky. PROs: Fits a 4TB drive which is thicker than average (but JUST BARELY - had to squeeze it in). Comes with a great selection of cabling and power options. For me, eSATA w/ USB-A to DC power cable works great. Come with all expected hardware, including rubber bumper feet. (Note that installation requires very small screwdrivers of your own.) Very happy with purchase.
