I have all 10 fingers, and I would like to keep it that way.
I have all 10 fingers, and I would like to keep it that way. If you have no riving knife or separator on your table saw you need this.

Measure your saw first!
This looks like a great product, but I wasn't able to use it after I installed it. I have two Microjig Gripper push blocks that I really like, so I think the company makes great products & this one seems well thought out as well.My error made it unusable, so I thought I'd keep others from making the same mistakes.First is the kerf width. I didn't remember buying a "fancy" thin kerf blade 10 years ago. Just went to one of the big box stores and pulled one off the shelf. Works out that a lot of the big box blades are thin kerf. So measure your kerf width. Thin ones are 3/32 ". I tried sanding the insert to 3/32", but the pins are 7/64" so I was thinning out the pins & didn't think that was a good idea.Second mistake was the distance between the back of the blade and the end of the insert. My saw had a thin 0.093 steel throat plate that sits on a 1/8" lip. I made a ZCI with a Lexan plate laminated to a 1/2" plywood so the actual distance was 1/8 shorter than the 2" that I measured from the top of the saw. With the splitter installed as far to the rear as I could get it the blade would only come up to 1 3/4" before it chewed the front pin in half. That's not a huge problem because I usually don't try to rip stock that's more than 1 1/2" thick because the saw is underpowered. The instructions say you can cut the pins to accommodate an obstruction so next time around I'll move the splitter all the way to the rear of the ZCI and shorten the rear pin to the thickness of the Lexan.BTW, installing the splitter at less than full blade height requires a bit of trial and error (or very careful measurements). You can't follow the instructions until you figure out that your full blade height is only 1 3/4" vs cranked all the way up.I'm hanging on to the setup in case I ever buy a full kerf blade. In the meantime, I'm going to try the metal pro set (in thin kerf!). The metal pro splitters are narrower front to back and only have two pins so I should be able to fit one of them in behind the blade and get full blade height.

A good option for an old cabinet saw
My old Grizzly 1023 had a splitter, but It had been taken off years ago. I know that without a splitter, there is a chance for kickback, but it was such a PIA for doing dado’s.I decided to update this old saw with a new blade and looked into adding a riving knife or perhaps fabricating one but the design of the saw didn’t allow it.My brother had just finished restoring an old Unisaw and he had put one of these on and said he liked it.I made a new zero clearance throat plate and using the jig from the kit, drilled the holes for the splitter which all went well. The splitter itself is offset so depending on which direction it i inserted, the clearance to the workpiece can be adjusted. It removes easily for doing dado’s which is a great feature. Two are included if one gets damaged or lost.

Update
I had high hopes for this kerf keeper/splitter. I followed the instructions precisely, measure, marked and cut the installation board, mounted that per the instructions, and drilled the holes for the splitter once as per the instructions.Maintained the minimum two inch distance from the end of the ZCI, but when feeding a 5 foot pine board through the table saw the kerf keeper did not keep the kerf open, but squeezed the kerf keeper so tightly as the board was advanced through the saw that it pulled the kerf keeper up and bent one of the pins as shown in the photo.Disappointed in the lack of strength in the kerf keeper pins. I hoped for a better product.UPDATED REVIEW:I called the MicroJig support line and spoke with a support person that was extremely helpful. He offered a free replacement splitter and offer of an an upgraded model. I couldn't be more pleased with their customer service and support. MicroJig epitomizes what a responsible company should be. and I have not hesitations about recommending them highly. Thank you Morgan !

Will not work on my Ridgid table saw
Will not work on my Ridgid table saw. No room at the out feed of the blade for the istalation of the device. But looks like a great Idea.

Microjig Splitter
My table saw does not have a built-in riving knife and I found this product to be a reasonable choice to try. It's easy to install as long as you follow all instructions. It does prevent binding and reduces kickback after you make cuts and I may buy some others for various zero clearance plates.

A must for safety
I am a woodworker of 40 years. I work alone much of the time and often thought of what would happen if....My saw is an older model and never had a splitter. I have made many rips over the years and occasionally had a kick-back all because of no slitter on the saw. this is a great inexpensive safety devise. Easy to install. Also I recommend the Micro Jig push block system. It makes handling long or thin stock much safer. My saying is " if it doesn't feel right don't do it".

Works beautifully!
I have an older Craftsman saw so I needed to get a splitter since it doesn't have a riving knife and I bought a new setup clearance table insert. This was easy to install, the instructions are detailed and easy to read and getting it done from me about half an hour after reading the instructions. This definitely helps prevent dangerous kickbacks and works really well with keeping the parts right to the fence as I cut.Couldn't be happier!
