Best mics for the money.
Gonna say it guys, these are better than a new 436 series set these days. Or let me say they are on par at the very least and a fraction of the price. Bought these cause I needed another set of 0-6” at work and have been thoroughly impressed. They hold adjustment well, they have a very repeatable feel, the wooden box is sturdy and well made, all of the markings are clean and clear, the ratchet thimble feels fine and repeats well, and the faces are lapped incredibly well. Not a fan of friction thimbles and my 0-1 did come with one but that’s easily fixed with some green loc-tite. 😉

Can't get much better in a Vernier
Insanely good Micrometers. I bought them for occasional use, but the one and two inch sets get near daily use. I send them off to inspection every year and they have always passed.

great set of tools, all calibrated and ready to use
Good quality. Packing appropriate. Two smallest sizes do not utilize a clutch thimble. This is more common then the complaints in other reviews. Learn to use them and you'll have all the accuracy required. At this price point I can see buying other brands for the name. Made in Japan.

Really good except the plastic junk
The mics feel great I am pretty disappointed in the plastic parts on a vary expensive mic set they do seam vary well made except the plastic i really do not like at all I have a set of mics that were $200 all metal and work nearly as well theyare not as smooth as the Mitutoyos but I sure with they would change over to metal

It’s a set of mics
They are good mics of course. The only thing I don’t like is that the box has styrofoam in it for them to rest in and not a solid wood base.

Machinist
From my experience with these so far, they are accurate and reliable. Easy to use and maintain. I rarely need to re zero them with a standard. I dont use the 4- 5 and 5-6 inch micrometers very often but that's just me. My set are certified calibrate, so far no issues there. I would recommend to a friend.

Perfect set. Mitutoyo quality speaks for itself
Perfect set. Mitutoyo quality speaks for itself. Details paid the proper attention for such a set, standards included, high quality wooden box, standards oiled and cased with a wax. Mic movement is outstandingly smooth and fluid. Thimble has a nice crisp click (on the mics which have a clicker). Very satisfied.
