Nice multi feature LCD watch with great flex watchband
When my 20 year old Timex finally died, I went looking for smartwatches but there were so many and the prices were just too high. Talk about sticker shock. So I went looking to see if I could find the same Indiglo Timex watch that served me so well for over 20 years and sure enough, the exact same watch that I was very familiar and satisfied with was still available. Without hesitation I bought it. When it arrived I was not disappointed. It was the exact same watch. It keeps excellent time within one second accuracy across a month. The Indiglo backlight is dim and always was but that doesn’t bother me. The display is easy to read in normal light and readable in the dark with the momentary push of the backlight button. The watch is well constructed and promoted as water resistant. The flex watchband is great and can even be twisted inside out for cleaning. I like the 24 hour/12 hour option and the six alarms. The built-in calendar keeps abreast of the days in each month so there’s no manual correction for 28, 30 or 31 day months. I believe it needs correction on leap day every four years. For those looking for a non smartwatch, this Timex Indiglo is excellent.

Don't try to change the battery....just buy a new one.
My father-in-law has had this watch for about 10 years. About every two, I have to change the battery (he is 96 years old and changing the battery is really painful surgery). For him, this is a great watch. It comes with a flexible metal band that holds up great and fits his thin wrist. It has a large digital screen with a back light so he can easily see the time. It has plenty of features (which he simply ignores), and I only have to reset it for the semi-yearly time change (it doesn't auto change). Changing the battery is a real challenge. Now that I am 70 with shaking hands and failing eyesight, it is proving to be more than I am willing to expend. The last two times (2 and 4 years ago) it took me about 3 hours each time. One year he snuck off and paid a jeweler...it was over 20 bucks, so I buckled down and did it myself the last two times. This time when the battery died, he passed it to me asking me to change it out. Still had a replacement battery and took off the back and then took off the watch cover retainer. Never could get the screws to go back into their holes...and I knew I still had to short the two terminals once the new battery was installed to get it working again....I simply gave up and ordered a new one (SAME MODEL) from Amazon. It arrived it two days, and my father-in-law was pleasantly surprised at how good the watch looked -- he said it looked new! If only he knew. I dutifully accepted the $3 for the cost of the new battery cost, and handed over the watch. He's happy, and so am I. It is nice that Timex keeps selling this model, without visible changes. Worth every penny.

Reliable and attractive
Love the watch. I've been wearing these for decades. This is the first Stainless version. Looks good to me.

Retro Timex
Great watch but extended length band was way too small. I had to have it sized at a jewelry store. Very comfortable and smart looking. Good price. 5 stars except for the short bracelet.

Reliable and affordable over many years
I keep buying this inexpensive watch model over many decades (in the 1980s, they were $10!) because it's so reliable, durable, affordable and accurate. It comes with my preferred metal twisty band rather than a buckle strap. I don't buy a more costly watch since I kinda bang up and scratch them in my work, plus I don't need to show off. If it works, I'm satisfied, and Timex works. "It takes a licking and keeps on ticking"

Something that's actually made as well as it used to be.
I don't often write reviews. But I felt compelled to write one this time. More years ago than I care to think of I purchased one of timex's first models of this watch. As I recall, it had a backlight that glowed all the time. The only thing I did with that watch was replace the band. I wore it for years and enjoyed it very much. When I saw that timex was still making a version of that watch I had to get one. I am very happy with the new version. It appears the case is made out of different material. The face on my old one was flat where this one has a bit of roundness which is nice. Something else that impressed me is the band it comes with. As I said, I had to replace the band on the original watch because I didn't care for it. It had a clasp and was not comfortable, The new version comes with a nice twistable band that is very comfortable on my wrist. Another positive is,the numbers are big enough that I don't need reading glasses to see what time it is. I have only had this watch a few days but so far I am happy with it. If these watches last half as long as my old one did, they are well worth the price.

once upon a time was a great watch that is now lacking quality on the finish.
Have been wearing this same model watch since 1990 . They were great and lasted me a few years usually. By the time I retire them they are usually still working but either the finish wears off or the part where the pin for the band goes through breaks out. I am pretty hard on watches since I do construction. Price wise they are good and not very expensive .My newest which was purchased in June 2025. The finish had already worn off badly in 3 months and I haven't even been working. The metal flex bands to me are horrible as they pull my hair, so every time I buy one I buy a couple plastic bands . Warranty is pretty much useless with Timex, as they wont cover the finish wearing off. I think the quality has really gone down hill and think its about time to start looking for a different watch.

Montre super. Robuste.
