I previously bought tomato and apple clockwork timers. One was not accurate and the other one the spring went and some of the numbers rubbed off. This timer is far superior. I am partially sighted and the red display is easy to read, and set, there's no clockwork to wind up, its accurate and the numbers don't get erased, as thy are covered. Well worth the extra money, compared to the cheaper inferior products on sale.

I am such a visual person and as you can't see time, I tend to get lost in my thoughts when I am cooking or doing chores around the house. I set timers but because they are on my phone I tend to take so much more time pressing the snooze button everytime the alarm goes off and the task on my hand is still not finished.However this timer is a GAME CHANGER. I can see the time now! I am more focused and get much more done in less time. If I am cooking I set the timer and take it with me(easily portable) to play with my little one. If It's time to study, work, play or tidy up, I take advantage of the full time allocated for it and set on my timer and again I get more done as I can simply see the time passing before my eyes. BrilliantSuch a simple but very effective gadget.

This timer is easy to use and it was great that the batteries came with it. It has rather a shrill sound - which could possibly upset dogs - but otherwise it does the job very well. I have not checked its accuracy specifically, so I gave 4 stars overall.

As someone who likes to spend time in the kitchen, I needed this kind of kitchen timer. The most important thing about cooking is to plan correctly. It works quietly because it is electronic. It is very simple to use. It's also easy to read how much time is left by following the red area. When it is finished, the alarm sounds, you can adjust the volume, low and high. A pair of AAA (Pen) batteries come out of it.

perfect to count down your timer requirements dead easy to use and read the clock face. bit expensive can set the volume loudness on the alarm to 3 settings but fount the loudest setting still a little quiert but that is probably because my hearing is not too good and alarm can also be set to sound for a short time or longer. much better than the stupid digital timers which you need a digree in rocket science to set would recomend this to anyone nice bit of kit

We can both just hear the bleep when the set time is up - if we are close to it. Very high frequency hearing fades with age. This timer was designed by a young person who does not know that old people cannot really hear it. Utterly useless for us. The supplier refunded our payment without argument. A good timer for young people, although the bleep is so high pitched that it cannot be heard very easily around the house. If the bleeping were a much lower tone, it would be one of the very best timers available.

Bought for my 2.5 year old to set time limits on activities. He still doesn't seem to grasp the concept of time, but happily negotiates for it on a visual basis.It's battery operated, without the annoying tic-tac of spring loaded counters of old. Two settings for the alarm, I find the tree second, five beep is audible but not grating, just long enough for you to really notice it.Happy with the purchase, would recommend to any parent, it makes transitioning between activities a lot smoother.

I use this timer in the kitchen and my food started burning and I realized that it was running very slowly despite changing the batteries, e.g. 5 minutes on this timer is more than 10 minutes in real time. And it was so expensive as well, very disappointed!
