The hut is advertised as cotton: "High quality durable cotton, soft, warm, and comfortable" (see description on the pictures, fifth picture from top). I tested it and there is no cotton or natural fiber in it. It is 100% polyester. Chunks of fibers are falling off at the top seam (on the inside).I only bought it because it was advertised as cotton. I'm returning it right away. I'm going for a natural, safer hut made of sea grass (Prevue Pet Products Naturals Sea Grass Bird & Small Animal Snuggle Hut 62811). It is more expensive, but has less chances of killing my birds.

My baby green cheek conure moved into this the first day. He loves to go in and rest. He even hauled part of one of his hanging toys in so he can play with it inside his tent. At night he goes on makes a few cute noises and goes to sleep. I bought two so I would always have a clean one when wash day comes. Our bird likes to eat Cheerios in his tent, too. Pretty cute! Great purchase!

I have a grumpy baby Quaker parrot, and he absolutely loves this hut. He plays in it and loves to sleep in it. He chewed off the straps that attach it to the cage several times, but I sewed it back together. The last an final time he chewed the strap, I couldn’t fix it, and bought a different hut directly from the pet store. He refuses to get in it. Needless to say I will be buying another one of these huts to make my baby happy!

The material ia very soft. The bottom has a more firm (possibly foam) type of insert sown into the material, giving it a sturdy "floor" for the bird to stand on.Our Parrolet is about the size of a Parakeet, and the small worked perfectly for him. Two Parrolets or Parakeets could fit in it comfotably. He loves getting in it and snuggling up against the inner wall when getting ready to sleep.Would highly recommend!

It was of better quality than I expected. Very nice.

Was afraid it would be ruined after I washed but after multiple washes (air dry) still where my green cheeks love to cuddle and sleep.

I love the house but I wish someone would make one with a chain/wirerather than the elastic for hanging. Our Quaker likes to nibble on the elastic and we find the hut on the bottom of the cage.

My sun conure went right into it for bed time. Doing it’s job very well. It’s soft and the color is cute.

We had to throw this out. Our birds (2 budgies) eventually warmed up to it and loved to sit on top of it. But they pulled the stitching apart and one of them got his little leg completely entangled in the thread. It was a pretty terrifying experience for all involved. Thankfully it happened when we were nearby to see and we could cut the thread free (it was also around his neck). I shudder to think what would have happened if he got caught overnight.Definitely do not recommend.

WARNING WITH ANY OF THESE FLUFFY TENTS WATCH CAREFULLY FOR FRAYED STRINGS REPLACE IF YOU FIND ANY.Besides that my conure loves it. He sleeps on it everynight, mostly on the top but goes inside if hes cold. I've recently had to replace it because it started to fray but its lasted almost a year.
