For the price, this program is pretty good. It has multi track video, chromakey, and a multitude of other abilities. Those familiar with iMovie will find it easier to use than those familiar with Windows Movie Maker. The alterations are still fairly complicated to figure out, even for computer literates.For someone like me, a musician who's promoting themself, this was a great buy. When I watch videos on youtube, being both a user of Mac and Windows, I can instantly identify what platform the video was produced on. This program can help you stand out from the crowd!I would highly reccomend this to those in need of something better than the video editing software that came with their OS.It will support HD videos, custom soundtracks and effects, and can write your video to multiple file formats.

When working properly, this is fantastic software that can produce beautiful videos. I have a lot of trouble with it shutting down before I can barely get started. I contacted Corel and they had several fixes for the problem, but none of them worked for me. I have not decided yet what I will do with it. I have the Pro X6 and it started out the same way, but Corel had a suggestion that worked perfectly for me. I still love this software and Corel has great customer service.

I was able to install the program on my Windows 10 computer but it crashed repeatedly when positioning new clips on the time line or when attempting to play a clip. I engaged with customer support via email, reinstalling the program according to their instructions and responding to their requests for diagnostic files from my computer. In the end they stated: " it seems that the problem that you have encountered is a known issue and has been reported to our Engineering department to be able to assess and find a fix for the issue". As the timing of this fix is unknown, I returned the product to Amazon. The response to my inquires to support was reasonably good although it took a few days between each email exchange. Other than the fatal crashing problem, my impression of the programs is that it should be suitable for my video editing needs.

Don't understand where the hate for this software is coming from. As far as I'm concerned this is some great LEGAL and VIRUS FREE software for a more then reasonable price then again that is assuming you actually work and aren't a cheapskate. I didn't get the download because so many things could go wrong with that such as it failing and then having to re-buy (I'm sure Amazon would help with that though) Anyhow, I got my copy just the other day, ran it, installed it and got it to work just fine on my Windows 10 laptop. Using the software is pretty straightforward, it's perfect for content creators. Overall, great product really dig it.

This is fantastic video editing software. I have zero experience with video editing and was able to quickly and easily load and edit a video, adding titles and other features. I'm very happy with my first effort and I know there are many other tools in the software that I haven't used yet but plan to in future videos. There are helpful tutorial videos on the Corel web site and Youtube to help you figure out how to use the software. This software is well worth the money!

You can't trust the reviews. The titler does not work on slightly older computers. Also the program does crash at times unless your computer is fast. Even then the audio settings are very finicky. The ability to adjust volume within a clip comes and goes. Audio ducking is a joke that works occasionally. Making any kind of precision edits at the end of a clip is a clumsy exercise in frustration. After the first time opening the program you are nagged into downloading "critical updates" which totally thrash your windows operating system. Oddly I have tried declining the updates and the program works just fine without them. But why should we have to even deal with this extra bloat anyway?? There are comments online from people who say this is forced adware and impossible to remove without resetting your computer to original factory condition.

Corel customer service is the worst ever! If you have ANY problems, they can not be contacted other than online chat with people who will take 20 minutes to even ask what the problem is and then provide nonsensical solutions. They will then send you to the tech support team via email and the response time measured in days while hoping you just go away or trying buying another copy! I tried to get a registration key for a boxed item that didnt have one and they basically told me it was Amazons problem, After 4 days it became clear the simple solution of just giving me a reg key was not ever going to happen. they basically just stopped responding. nice! I will never buy another CorHell product again.

I haven't tested all the functionality but researching through the potential for this program says it will comprehensively assist with video creativity. I've put together some samples and smaller compilations and it seems easy to use. Looking forward to furthering my expertise. The price was fantastic and I compared it to trial versions or free versions of other software and it is far superior and easier to use.
