Onyx and Green Notebook, 6 x 9 Inches with Elastic Closure, 60 Ruled Sheets, Stone Paper, (6702)

I got a smaller version of this notebook as a gift. I loved how the ink felt while I was writing on this unique paper. Who knew?. I use this larger notebook as a journal and couldn’t be happier. I actually find myself writing more because it is so enjoyable. I am sure I will order more stone paper as I need it.

The paper itself is excellent. Smooth & durable. One pen I tried with it seemed to drag a bit - but that may have just been the brand of pen - the other pens I tried worked beautifully. The only thing I do wish is that the lines were printed in a lighter color. A nice light blue or grey would be excellent. But it's a nice notebook and I do like the stone-paper.

Stone paper is my favorite to write on! It feels super soft to the touch, it takes ink beautifully without feathering or any other effect. The spiral design allows the notebook to lay completely flat or to wrap completely around. The elastic band is effective at keeping it closed when in a bag or similar.One thought just for particular pen users - fountain pen ink will take a few moments to fully sink in. You will need to let it dry completely before turning the page. I love the paper enough that I'm happy to do this, as fountain pen ink looks so fabulous on the super even, fine grain of the paper.

I read all of the reviews in advance was very excited to try stone paper, but just did NOT like it. It has a feel that to me is very much like nails on a chalkboard -- hard to describe, but kind of makes me recoil from touching it. It also did not work well with the felt tip markers I prefer to write with -- it smeared across the paper and onto my hand while writing. (I'm left handed so smearing the ink is always a possibility -- one reason I don't care for ball point pens -- but honestly, I never normally have trouble with flair felt tips and most notebooks or journals). I was surprised about the smearing after seeing some comments in the reviews and at least one image that seemed to indicate smearing would not be an issue. I guess one problem is that waterproof paper does not absorb ink so the ink just stays on the surface until it dries? Anyway, I'm glad I tried this, but when the paper feels icky in a sensory way and also allows the ink to smear, it's just not a good combo.

This paper is awesome. So smooth, water proof, tear proof, just perfect. I will be purchasing another one soon. I ended up giving this notebook to my husband only because I did not like how close together the lines are. I tend to have a larger hand writing, my husband prints smaller than I do. But the paper is the smoothest I have ever written on, can not wait to find another one with larger space between the lines.

Give it a try - I live in Denver and travelled to over 20 cities this summer in Europe, occasionally looking for this product. For any stationary nerds - I know yall are checkin this out.I stumbled across this product in Glasgow, Scotland. It was my first trip to Europe by myself and I needed a small notebook to help plan out my days ahead. WOW. I thought I had just grabbed another ole small notebook (the slightly smaller version). I was wrong. Regardless of the pen I used, it felt like I was writing on one of the best thing ever! I know its an odd statement but trust me on this.I travelled around Europe for 2 months with my 35L backpack and all things considered the notebook is in relatively respectable shape. The cover did fall off towards the end but the paper is so sturdy that it didn't matter too much (other than if you had used the first few/last pages). Give me your average notebook and the binding wouldn't have made it through the trip! I was stoked to see Amazon carries this product. I feel like I'm composing an epic story, even when writing a grocery list. Yea its that good.Also to the individuals concerned with the recyclability of this product - please stop and think of the continuous waste you contribute daily. All we can do is try in our own ways. This product also can be recycled with most local recycling companies - give them a call...

I use this notebook as a journal and I love it. The pages as so smooth that my pen glides across the paper. The sheets are kind of sheer so I can see through if I hold up a page to the light but not sheer or thin enough that I can see through to other pages as I write. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a tree-fridmly, smooth, spiral notebook. Will test the durability over time but so far, the spiral works well and hasn’t lost the cover. Will buy again.

The media could not be loaded.  I love this notebook! The pages did stick a little, but came apart easily. The paper also doesn't tear as easily as normal paper. It feels like you're writing on butter. It was most water resistant to pencil and ball point pen. It doesn't bleed through, even wet! Even the black sharpie didn't bleed through!

Not actually as strong, year quite easily tho the tear isn't ragged as with paper, nor as easy to clean the pages as made out to be do quite disappointing.
