Would have been one star
I was ready to rate this one star... but then the seller followed up with my order, listened to me complain it wouldn't focus, then they sent me dummy-proof instructions that reminded me to twist the front... the front ring of mine was fairly tight and I was afraid of breaking it, thinking it doesn't turn...Make sure you extend and turn the front ring. It does turn, the whole front assembly turns.Good little scope testing it out right now in the middle of the night I am getting solid focus close up and far away. Cool little device! Now if only there was an easy way to stow the dust caps, like if they were lanyarded to the monocle, or the travel bag zipped securely...

Works well if you learn how it works
For the price, the optics are very good. The magnification range is perfect. The lowest magnification is clear and useful in a wide variety of situations. The highest magnification is at the limit of what you can stabilize without a tripod but, with some practice, you can read the name on the back of a boat that is a half mile put to sea. I’ve read some negative reviews and realized the reviewers didn’t figure out how to extend this scope and then twist it for focus. It is a bit tricky and there are no instructions, but this thing works when you figure it out.

Nailed it! Very well done.
It's awesome. Get it. Zoom and focus works great. The lenses are top notch, no flaws. I can see our AP's on the tower from miles away. And it fits in my tech bag without taking up much space. :)

Better than you'd think easy for thing close and far
It's actually a far more manageable monocular than the more expensive one's! especially depending on what your using it to view (distance+magnification) I have tried several from the high end 100$+ monoculars to the least expensive 10$+monoculars and both have their advantages, even when comparing (low light) on most the low end $, to built-in infrared night vision on the more expensive monoculars. First as a daily driver your (go-to/ for a variety of day time use, compact ability and stand alone use) the lower price 20-50$ monocular with "22x" or more zoom with low light vision is without a doubt the best for sight seeing with the naked eye from a generally 10x fixed distance. 22x-300x is generally what is described but the 300x zoom is often misleading or just another way of saying infinite but after 1000m-2000m/ 700- 1000 there is no stability or crisp focus that is of any real benefit to the naked eye. Idk what the phone assistance or a tripod would do for stability or clarity but for clarity it couldn't make much of a difference as the stability would. The main thing to consider is what is the main purpose you would find yourself using any monocular? If you are looking for an all in one high price night vision and superior day vision, battery operated infrared SD card etc. You might think your covering all bases, but the higher end all in one around 100-300$ on the entry level, isn't that entry level if you are not familiar with magnification settings and ok with being dependent on a power source. They also may have several settings that aren't rocket science but can be fickle and if your buy a monocular that works on digital zoom it's almost unusable for practical reasons, and you'd be better off just forking over a cool 1k or in the range of 600+ to get a real all in one with all the bells and whistles. But again it depends on what you need or want it for. If for hunting or airsoft and other things tactical and for mounting on another piece of equipment the high end night vision is best, but remember they mostly have long range specs and as far as viewing anything in your generally proximity ( in the house) they are over kill and actually don't work as well for the price you can get a 30$ monocular with low light and generally more compact. Bottom line get both kinds if your into monoculars and long distance viewing. But start out with a good compact lowlight just to get yourself acquainted with the magnification settings then spend a decent amount of time on a good complete dark+ day vision.

Pretty good for the money
I tried this side by side with some of my name-brand 10x25 scopes and I can confirm that the 10x setting actually seems to be 10x. Usually the power of these cheap scopes is hugely exaggerated but not in this case. I have nothing else that is 30x to compare this to but since the 10x is correct I'd guess the 30x is too, or is at least close. The image quality isn't as good as something like a Vortex but is good compared to other scopes in this price range, even around the edges where others might get distorted.

Nice monocular
Pros: Very nice. Quality seems high. Clarity impressive.Cons: Much larger than I expected (surely the product description gave dimensions but I didn't pay attention, LOL)- I wanted one that would fit in my pocket. Not the fault of the product.

High zoom, challenging to focus
It does provide a cheap entry point into this type of viewing aide. It's small and can easily fit into a jacket pocket. I haven't used many bi/monoculars so I don't know how good the field of vision compares to higher quality ones. The way you need to adjust the focus and zoom is not very practical for rapid adjustment. I use it for bird watching, and it's only good for viewing them if they don't move around rapidly.

Excellent optics and really good value.
Having researched the most recent generation of monoculars, this one is to my mind, by far the best value for money out there in this price range. There are all sorts of outrageous claims made in the ads, for items that are at best described as "optical junk", all manner of ridiculous magnifications claimed that can never work, or "quality prisms" on instruments that don't have any prisms etc., etc. However, this neat item is the real thing. The lenses have a subtle full multicoating, to enable maximum light transfer. The quality, but unobtrusive, BAK 4 prisms (general the best kind) do a really good job, and the magnification and focusing mechanisms have a positive feel to them. The Claimed magnification is 10x to 30x. I feel by comparison to my other equipment, that the maximum figure is probably nearer to 26 to 28 times, but the difference is really insignificant. The mono stays pretty much in focus as the magnification is changed (which is rare at these prices) and there is little to no image distortion at the image edge, and no real coloured "fringing" either. A very good unit at this sort of price, with a really bright clear image, FAR better than many considerably more expensive models. Initially, you need to pay attention to the instructions on setting-up and focusing this instrument, but once you have tried a few times this all comes as second nature. The weather proof body of the mono is an Aluminium/Magnesium alloy, which means it is light but strong, and the entire item has a very good quality feel to it. The simple but useful canvas storage case, and the lens caps, also give a nice sense of straightforward quality to this monocular. A genuinely good instrument at a very good price - especially as I bought it on an "Amazon Prime Day" with a "one-off" price reduction - Excellent !

Excellent value for money
These monocular was purchased for my wife. They arrived on time. having used them I think they are amazingly good ,the image even at maximum magnification the quality is very good and Sharp, they appear to be fairly robust. We have dropped the monocular once onto grass, and no damage occurred. If you wish to be really finicky you may say that they are a little bit difficult to focus. But I think this is to do with their small size of the monocular, but I am being really finicky about this. They fit on a normal tripod If required. If you want a good quality monocular at a very Reasonable price these may be the ones for you. I would definitely recommend them for quality and cost effectiveness .
