I put one of these on my Mastercraft every year and they work great. They work great. When I pull off the old one in the Spring to replace it, these impellers still always look good and seem to have lubricant remaining in the rubber.

Didn't work, overheated engine
This impeller is advertised as a replacement for the Johnson Pump 09-812B-1, among others. Unfortunately, the impeller did not work at all and ended up overheating my engine. Though I didn't see any complaints before I bought this impeller, now I see that others on Amazon and on the Malibu boat owner's forum have experienced the exact same thing. I put my old OEM impeller back in and the engine works and cools fine. Hopefully my engine didn't suffer any serious damage due to this faulty product. Bottom line: don't risk your boat, stick with the OEM impeller.

Nice Impeller but does not fit
I have used Run-Dry impellers in the past & they are fantastic. This one says it is for a 'Johnson 812B'. Don't be confused, this is not the same as a Johnson 812. The 812B is about 1/16th on an inch narrower than the 812. If you put the 812B impeller in a pump that has an 812, then you'll cavitate the pump & overheat (as other reviewers have noted). Run-Dry does not make the larger 812 impeller. Too bad because I love to use these.

Easy Install
If you know what you are doing with these guys, this thing was very easy to install. Nicely lubricated out of the package slipped right in place. Gasket that was include seemed to be high quality as well.

Fine product met my expectations.
Fine product met my expectations.This product works great in our Malibu sportster and the family wakesetter. Both boats have the indmar motor/water pump.

Do not recommend
After one season the Globe Impeller froze in the water pump housing causing the brass insert to strip (splines fattened) causing my motor to overheat. My guess is the blue rubber compound stuck to housing. I will go back to factory Johnson pump impeller. Photo of splines flattened attached.

Not worth the risk
I don't know what it is about this impeller but it didn't work in my Johnson F6 pump. I think the material is too soft and it just doesn't create enough suction to pull water. I installed it just like the 30 or so impellers I've installed over my years of boating and this one is the only one that has given me a problem. The temperature started to rise way above normal within a minute or two, so I shut it down, replaced it with the standard Johnson black impeller and have never had a problem since.
