BOC Study Guide - Histotechnology Certification Exams Paperback – January 1, 2014

I'm preparing to take the HTL exam and I am self-taught - I didn't go through a histology program or anything like that. I have been eating, sleeping, and breathing the Carson and Hladik text but I wanted a better idea of the types of questions that would be on the test. I find this book really helpful - it has helped me identify my areas of weakness and gave me a better idea of some things I needed to focus on a bit more. I would definitely recommend this book.

The book arrived brand new on Monday (couple hours earlier than Amazon prime's predictions). I'm using it to study along with the "Histotechnology, A Self Instructional Text, 4th edition." The study guide gives me a great idea of the question format on the ascp exam. Can't wait to take the exam at the end of the month!

I have been out of school for 4 years and have only been working in a lab for 2. With the help of this book, combined with the Histotechnology book, I was able to pass my HT on the first go! Yay!!

It's basically a general review of the course. I don't know how helpful it will be on the boards because I haven't taken it yet.
