Outstanding out of the box
Excellent packaging. Good setup, though I may lower the action a tiny bit -- personal preference. Intonation is perfect. Thin, fast neck. Comfortable to play seated without a strap. High-quality gig bag. Includes truss rod adjustment wrench (which I haven't needed to use yet).I literally tuned it up and played it straight away. No complaints. Some folks may want to tweak the fret ends... They're not sharp but not super-smooth. Definitely more than acceptable for the price class. The LTD hardware is worth the money. *Locking tuners*, roller bridge, and great fit and finish. One minor nitpick: The pre-installed 9 V battery was very, very dead. Quick fix, but annoying.I'm happy with my choice thus far and I'm glad I stepped up to the LTD model which is objectively worth the small premium.

Good for travel or practice!
So this guitar is designed for Traveling or practice. This is not made for on stage performances, although it could be but why? This guitar is perfect for travel and practice. You get an internal shadow tuner and locking tuners as well as a decent sound. The quality is pretty good for a travel guitar. Very light and easy to control size. Now the down side: you can buy a much better quality electric guitar for the same amount of money spent on this travel guitar. This is built for one thing: travel! That is what it is made for and is perfect for that.

Impossible to keep in tune
As another reviewer has stated, keeping this guitar in tune in stock form is next to impossible. Better tuners help but at this price point, the labor and effort involved in replacing tuners isn't something one should have to undertake, and even with better tuners, my Traveler was still far from perfect. The fault is really in the design itself, which leaves such a huge length of string between the tuners and the bridge. The rollers and bridge still have friction in them, and that leaves too much opportunity for imbalance in tension to develop between the string at the tuning post, and the string where it crosses over the bridge, especially if you do a lot of note bending. If your goal is to have a compact, headless guitar, the Steinberg design is the infinitely superior, the quality of construction on Steinberg's is better all around, and they cost considerably less. To be brutally honest there's just no reason to even consider buying a Traveler. I ended up hating mine so much I threw it in the trash, I couldn't even in good conscience consider taking it to Goodwill.

Great for travel or daily at home noodling
Got this for Christmas from my wife. I love this little guitar. I travel at least once every couple months and this has become a great alternative to lugging a full size electric everywhere. And, since I can carry it on to a plane, I don’t have to worry that the ground crew is going to damage it. I love the design compared to other travel guitars and it plays like a full size. I have average sized hands and have always been partial to narrow necks. This one is slim enough for speed as well as being big enough for chording. The built in for headphones is great. Solid tuning machines that keep in in tune, even after a lot of string bending. I have several high end axes, but actually keep this one in my living room next to the couch and use it daily.
