Mueller 4581 Back Brace

I have had 2 kids and also have 2 bulging disc's at the bottom of my vertebrae....This back brace works awesome! I can wear it around the house all day and it makes being on my feet for extended periods of time, cleaning, and even holding my youngest child much much easier. It relieves the strain and pain in my lower back arch and helps me to stand up straighter. I love the size adjustment and how there are two velcro adjustments (one on top of the other) so you can make it super tight if you prefer (i do, I find it the most comfortable and effective at releasing back pain). Overall great quality, inexpensive and does its job wonderfully. I would definitely recommend.

i had one i used for a couple months and the metal supports wore holes in the brace and fell out.come on i understand they are not supper expensive however muller would need to do something to prevent the seems to come apart and the metal supports i lost, they fell out one by oneoverall great brace for lumbar support and the best one i tested out of 14 different types of other brands they all cut me rubbed me rawmuller you make a functional brace however i did not expext its short life less than a yri have had total of 5 muller braces some last little longer some little less, = quality controll stitching comes out ,i fixed it with dark thread 5 times sowing the metal sepports back in to the brace only downside= and muller will replace it ii have to use my brace everyday spinal stenosiss low back arthritis pain etc buy buy buy muller i would appreciate a call if you read thisi would appreciate costomer service to call me 304 918 8272 faithfull costomer

I am a 150lb woman who had serious sciatic nerve pain that ran down my left leg for over a year. After PT, shots in my back, and pain pills that I don't want to take (they messed up my stomach), I decided to treat myself. I do yoga stretches for back pain (from u-tube), the Back-2-Life machine, take Nopalea from Tri-Vita, and wear this brace every day under my clothes. It has improved my posture and has helped relieve a lot of the pressure on my herniated discs. I also joined a gym. I exercise on the bike and work on the machines to strengthen muscles in my back and abdomen. I have been doing this for 5 weeks now and have seen a great improvement. It is great to finally have pain-free time in my day without pills and I am definitely moving in the right direction. The brace has been crucial in keeping me aware of my posture which I know tremendously affects my back. It is strong and sturdy and supports me very well. It is most comfortable when I wear a tank shirt between my body and the brace and then put a shirt over.

I am giving a 5 star because this product works. I put this product to good test over the weekend. I was able to work for 4 hours with the strap on wothout any back pain. I carried my patio furnitures from the garage to the backyard and reassembled the patio table. This is my every year summer ritual and it used to hurt my back really bad but not this time with the strap on. In addition I was able to clean windows and blinds. I also cleaned my daughter's car. All of this with no pain. I suggest if you are waering the strap for long hours just readjust the grip every hour or so to maintain the tightness. I am thinking i can also use this for long distance driving. Good product and i like it.

Great back brace; I have tried several of them and this is the best of the bunch. I actually own 3 of them so I can store them in different locations when I might need some extra support given a disc issue that periodically flairs up. The two stages of tightening (main belt followed by outer straps) really help focus the support where needed and at the right level of tension. It is a bit large & not sure I'd wear it under my clothes, say, to work, but then again none of the others I've tried would be much better in that regard.

I use it everyday, at work. My only real complaint is that it seem to have been made for a women's body and not a mans. I have a 34 - 35 inch waist. It fits me like a corset. It's lite duty, which is good. However, its lumbar support can't compare with the heavier duty Muller back brace that I own. That one has an actual pad for the lumbar. This one has 8 very flexible bands that run vertically against the lumbar area. Considering how tight this brace fits, the support is just okay. I can't wear it any looser because the neither strap allows that much slack. In short, this runs very small. I also wish they would have used more rigid bands.

This brace does the job. The work I do requires lifting heavy objects on a daily basis. I needed something to take the pain away, rather than taking pills which I tend to stay away from. Being a really skinny guy, i had to wrap this rather tightly, but it still fit pretty nice for having a 28inch waist. I appreciate the two straps, as some only have one. The only issue while wearimg this is that after 6 of my 8 hour sgifts, it starts to hurt my waist, requiring me to have to loosen it some. Overall I'm glad I made this purchase, it was a good investment.

I returned back support as others I had in past had velcro on both sides to place outer support bands. I thought something was wrong with it but now know that it is meant to bring the side without velcro clear across to meet side with velcro. The belt fit fine but bringing that side clear across was not long enough, anyway and want to get the type I had before with separate velcro for both sides. Other than that the belt felt good and felt supportive and was disappointed it didn't work out. Maybe this is more cost effective for them to design it this way but also makes it more bulky in front and don't like this design.
