They truly are heat-safe to 500°!I purchased these long, heat-safe oven gloves in a color that matches my dish towels last February. I normally do a lot of cooking and baking; during our covid-19 home stay this spring and summer even more. I bought these because I was tired of burning my arm when taking food out of the oven. They are extremely long and have protected me well. Now I know they withstand a lot of heat, and don't release toxic fumes if they should burn because I was careless. Last Friday I was using both the oven and stovetop of my electric stove to cook supper. I was tired after a long day, and used these gloves to remove what was in the oven, and something else that was on the burner. After removing that pot, I must have forgotten to turn off the burner, and left one oven glove on the stovetop. What I didn't realize was that I left it on the burner I failed to turn it off. Twenty+ minutes later I came back in the kitchen and saw the burner light was on, and the oven glove was lying across that burner. There was no smoke, just a faint smell. I saw the glove, turned off the burner, and turned over the glove. You can see the damage in the accompanying photos.While it's no longer useable, there was no disaster, no need to call the fire department and only the glove was ruined! I am so relieved, and tho' now I'll have 3 gloves, I am happily buying another pair. Thank you Redlmldeta!!!

I ordered a pair of gloves back in September, for my daughter. I waited to give a review, to allow her time to use this product. I got to try them out on Thanksgiving. She has been raving about them since she received them. They are very sturdy and a well made product. They are long, so they cover a good portion of your forearms. They have an excellent grip and they are very durable. Bonus, they are an excellent value, and very pretty. They will add to your kitchen. We both love this product, and i will definitely purchase more.Hoping that I find a pair under the tree, if not I'll purchase my own pair!

I purchased these specifically to prevent painful forearm burns while working with Dutch ovens to make No-Knead bread. I previously avoided silicone hot pads and gloves because I thought they were slippery. These gloves proved me wrong. They offer excellent protection against burns and yet handling the heavy preheated pots is still easy. I like them so much they have become my go-to protection for any oven baking. I also plan to use them when I crank up the barbecue. Congratulations on making such an excellent product.

I use these at work in a restaurant kitchen and have never had the heat from a baking pan seap through unlike the ones we used to get at the restaurant supply store. They hold up well in a commercial kitchen, but it does take some work to get the gripping part clean as they are grooved. All said and done, we keep buying them because they work.

These gloves are not flexible enough to grab pans, the ability to grip pans is compromised as the material is not flexible enough. These gloves are actually dangerous because it’s very easy to drop any pan you try to grab. Ma.ybr if you have hands the size giant these might work. I just missed the return deadline.

I just received the mitts, and used them for a hot pot with lots of liquid to pour off. I really like the length of them as I got no steam burn like I sometimes do with shorter mitts!

I like to make “no-knead” bread which requires a very hot oven and baking dish. Doubled pot holders and regular oven mitts do not give enough protection from the heat. These silicone mitts do the job, require no other additional potholders and are long enough to cover most of my forearms. I would very highly recommend them for use around an oven or a grill. Wish I had purchased these long ago.

I use these for barbecueing. I wish they were a little more flexible as it is hard to use tongs with them. But for protection from heat these really work.. I use them also for baking bread. 500 degree cast iron dutch ovens. These are the best I have ever used. No burns, and they are constructed very well. I have had other brands where the seams pop open and you get burned badly.. I just bought another pair so I can designate one for bread baking and one pair for barbecueing. Handling the barbecue grills and etc. gets the gloves pretty dirty with black garbage. So when I bring them in to use for bread making they smudge black greasy residue on my appliances. It is fairly difficult to get the black greasy residue off of the silicone mitt. So I am just buying another pair as stated. These things are the best I have ever used.

Best thing since sliced sourdough bread. Life saver!!!!!
