K&N Cold Air Intake System: High-Flow Air Filter, Increase Performance & Towing: Compatible with 2005-2006 FORD: Excursion, F250, F350, 77-2570KTK

Package arrived on schedule and with all parts needed. Installed just before a 4,800 mile trip in December in a Class C RV with a Ford Triton V10 2V engine. Noticeable driving improvement, particularly on long climbs and a 200 or so rpm drop at cruising speeds on highways. Now have K&N products on all vehicles. Looking now to install the cold air intake system on my old Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0L inline 6 cylinder.

Directions for an early E-350 were vague, but perfect for the later engines. I called K&N support, and never got a definitive answer. I connected the Air sensor like I thought it should be connected and it worked fine. The instructions should be changed to incorporate the earlier engine model years. When I damaged a rubber gasket, the factory representative was very responsive in replacing it.

This particular cold air intake went onto my 2006 Winnebago RV with Ford V10 gas engine. It is installed very easy, the instructions where basically clear. The only item I ended up ignoring on the installation was nearly the last step, the original plastic air intake horn was to be put back on, which seems to only function as a restrictor for air flow. That seemed counter to what you are trying to accomplish with cold air intake, so I took the "air horn" off, doubling the area air can enter the air box.I've not put many miles on since installing, but I have driven it on the highway, there was no "Scream" or loud "Howl" I have experience with other cold air intakes, during heavy acceleration, or hill climbing. It sounds just like the factory intake.So far, so good.

Quality you’d expect from K&N , the only issue I had was the instructions for the cold air sensor was unclear on reusing the OEM housing or adding the housing included in the kit and after studying it for a while, I called their tech support and the quickly clarified my issue. Cleaning up the instructions would be helpful!

Added to a 2001 Ford Econoline E350 Chateau Super Duty.. with a v8 5.4 Triton.. the felt HP is noticeable!!!

Item was 100% genuine and easy to install. Made a big difference in performance with easier starts.
