Requires 4 inches of tape for every 1 pound
This is everything that everyone said it was. A little bit tacky, sort of like dried up rubber cement. It has about a 1/8 of an inch depth, that cannot be removed. So if you were trying to attach something flush that's not going to happen. Now, something that was not an anyone else's review and I wish it had been.**This requires 4 inches of tape for every 1 pound of item you are attaching**Yes, that is right, the " Will hold up to 15 pounds" on the outside of the package, means that you need to use the entire roll of tape to hold 15 pounds.I had purchased this to reattach the heart rate monitor on my elliptical. It is not heavy, but does push out word with a certain amount of force. That force had pushed off other tapes, so I need to try something stronger. However, it is a very small surface area and no more than two, to 3, inches of tape would fit. That means that the tape would only hold up to 3/4 of a pound of weight. After reading the above in the instructions on the back, I almost hesitated to open the package. I decided to give it a chance, though, and it worked out well. There is a bit of a lift because of the depth of the glue, but the heart rate monitor has not come off. It has been almost a week. That's longer than the other glow lasted.Overall, it's not a bad product, but just be aware of how much tape it takes for the weight of your item. If you cannot fit 4 inches for every 1 pound, this will probably not work for you.

Is Gorilla Tape the best on the market?
I just wanted a small shelf to hang on the side of my vanity because I hate the look of a cluttered counter and wanted to move my cosmetics but keep them close at hand. I found a wire shelf with self-adhesive backing on Amazon that looked perfect because I didn't want to drill holes in the wood. Two months later, the glue on the backing gave out and the shelf fell down! I tried a few brands of double-sided tape but none of them worked that well. Finally, I tried this Gorilla brand product. It held much better than the other ones I tried, but the backing started to droop after a few hours. Luckily, I hadn't put anything back on the shelf. I saw an ad for Alientape while I was watching Road Wars (yes, I'm one of those people) and took a chance. It was nothing short of a revelation! The Alientape held immediately so after a couple of days, I put my cosmetics back and nothing has come loose. I am so happy. From my experience, the Gorilla Tape didn't hold as well as the Alientape. It may be the surface, or I did something wrong, but frankly, it's pretty hard to screw up applying tape. I even got a second shelf and put somewhat heavier things on it, like mouthwash, toothpaste tablets and skin ointments and the second one hasn't fallen either.

Siamese cat vs. LED light strip. Gorilla Tape won!
This year, I decided it was time to buy more permanent Christmas lights for the bay windows -- LED strips that could stay mounted year-round, because I'm old, tired, grouchy, and given the choice between seasonal light-mounting chores and being a magnificent killjoy and humbug...well, bah, and furthermore, humbug. I lined the windows with LED light strips. They were glorious, beautiful, bright. They flooded my hedges with washes of intense color. My front bedroom could now double as a rave club.Unfortunately, one very spoiled ten-year-old Siamese cat in residence found hunting the Greater Iridescent Electric Window Python an irresistible proposition. I came home to find the light strip, formerly in her favorite window, in a puddle on the bedroom floor, freshly torn down, still glowing brightly. After several minutes of laughter and sharing pictures of her "kill" with my family and friends, I remounted the strip to the window using Gorilla Tough & Clear Mounting Tape. I didn't even need to tack down the entire ~15ft. of the strip; roughly seven total feet of tape, with short gaps between, proved more than sufficient. The light strip has resisted the worst that my mighty little tan tigress (Thaigress?) can dish out. She is presently in the armchair beside it, many days later, nursing the wounds to her pride and/or dreaming of albacore and bonito flakes. She seems to regard the Amazing Technicolor Dreamsnake with new respect; anything that can survive a days-long gauntlet of attacks from a tenacious, determined cat must, in her eyes, be at least somewhat worthy of recognition.Thank you, Gorilla Tape. You saved my sad, lazy-old-man Christmas lights this year.

Nothing else worked
I had to adhere a sign to a concrete wall. I tried everything tryingto avoid liquid nails. This is the only thing I found that worked. It's even been a month and it's still there! Worth it!
