I am extremely satisfied with this
This is a serious, high quality chain. Very strong and smooth, impressive. I bought this to replace an aging Tsubaki chain, and I was shopping amongst the major brands. I decided to try JT because of their reputation in the industry with sprockets, and also the price compared to similar offerings from the top chain makers. I am extremely satisfied with this, installed last week, after 500 miles of HARD riding it feels superb. I will update this review after a few thousand miles if need be, but as of right now I'm very impressed with the craftsmanship. The steel they used is so tough, that I had a very difficult time pressing the rivets on the master link. It was unreal, actually, and I used an extra heavy-duty riveter. I would not waste my time or effort trying to rivet the link with one of the cheaper, economy-type riveters. If that's any indication of the overall toughness of the chain, then I'd say this will be a 50k mile chain easily. As stated, it was a pain in the butt with my extra heavy-duty riveter, so plan on having a powersports shop rivet the link for you or do yourself a favor and order a HD one (I suggest a riveter rated for up to 630 chain) or you can just order a clip type master link. Be sure to get the actual "JT X1R" clip master link, for proper fit (I tried a spare Tsubaki clip link that I had just to see if it would fit, and it was a bit too small) The JT steel is thick.Couple final thoughts: If you are looking to lighten up your bike, this is not the best choice (Heavy-Duty = heavy weight). However, if you are focused on durability and quality, this chain looks bulletproof to me, and nice fit & finish as well. ***Will update review if need be, but I expect this chain to outperform!

NO Flare Specs on Supplied Rivet-Type Master Link
Chain fit perfectly. Just installed so no idea of durability. Keep in mind, you will need a rivet tool and sliding caliper micrometer to install the rivet master link. They are cheap. The #1 problem is there are no specs in the instructions on the JT rivet-type master link provided and I could not find on the internet either. Don't assume you can use RK or DID flare specs. of .7MM-.9MM max. Unfortunately, I tried, and, like others have commented on reviews, around .3MM (12 thou) the rivet flare cracked. IF that happens to you, you need to get a new master link because it's not safe to ride with a crack. I'd order an extra master link to have on hand in case you mess up. There is a fine line between doing it right and not. Also, watch some You Tubes on measuring the existing link between plates for the proper width, so you don't bind the master link when installing.

Good chain so far.
So far so good. Remember to get a chain break and riveter.

Flare conservatively
I ended up ordering 4 links in two separate orders because the rivets kept cracking. My service manual for my Honda says to flare the rivet .5-.8 millimeters but these links will not come close to that, .3 millimeters max flare or they will crack. It would have been nice if a flare spec was included with the link instead of trial and error. Hopefully this will help people not make the same mistakes I did.

Good solid chain for a big bike.
Purchased for a 1200 Triumph Trophy. A year in in and it has worn well.
