The Gold Standard for a reason!
I've been doing more electrical work around my apartment and in my garage, and my rusty craigslist pliers needed replacement.A friend employed as a lineman told me to buy KNIPEX - and I'm glad I made the investment. These are extremely comfortable to hold and "just right" in every regard. Grippy tips that make it easy to grab dropped screws or wires. A sharp cutting blade that makes it easy to punch through even thick wire. The action in the hinge is perfect: not too tight, not too lose, not at all fatiguing on the hand. One of the few recent purchases I've made where "Made in Germany" still means something: world-class engineering and undisputed quality.I understand the hype around these, and as more tools become eligible for replacement, I won't hesitate to purchase the Knipex equivalent.

superb tool - none other like it
I've owned many needle nose pliers. Most were "pretty good". All of them had about the same shape and size jaws. This one is different, with its long, slender jaws. They reach areas others cannot touch. The tip is machined for precise and firm grip. I can reach and hold that tiny wire or piece of tape or metal part that could not be touched with any other tool in my toolbox - not even tweezers. The price may seem high, but for me, it is well worth it and justified.

Wow - worth the price
I have always bought the cheap brand of pliers. I hate how they would slip, or not retain a strong grip. Enter Knipex - these are by far one of the nicest hand tools I have ever bought. They feel good in my hand when using, the grip is great. I don't fear I am going to drop whatever I am holding when using them.

Outstading and worth the money!
As I've grown older and used many tools for many years, I've found that higher quality tools function better and last longer. For me, investing in the best costs LESS than a cheaper tool. A standard needle nose plier is a go-to tool for most of us. This is my first tool from Knipex and will not be my last. As the other reviews state, it is strong, well designed, well made and functions well. I have used this tool for only a short time, but it is clear that it blows away the competition. I have good needle nose pliers from Craftsman, Klein and Channel Lock, but this is noticeably better. And not just incrementally better - I would say that it's twice the tool. So is it worth $32 with free shipping - YES! When you grab this plier in your hand and squeeze your first wire, you'll say "Ohhhh". Don't hesitate to buy this tool. You won't be disappointed.I will say that because Knipex offers so many pliers, the selection is very difficult. I contacted the Knipex Chicago office in the US to get the part number of what I called a "standard needle nose plier" and the gentleman I spoke with (who was rather rude on the phone) ultimately emailed me to say that Knipex doesn't offer the tool. Information for Knipex US and those of you shopping: The 2612200 is a standard needle nose plier. My experience with Knipex US does not keep me from giving it five stars.

Good pair of needle nose pliers
Good pair of needle nose pliers. Long and get in tight spaces a lot better than kilein.Only complaint I have is that the actual needle end of it, isn't very hard. They seem to bend a lot when working with harder metals and thing that don't give as much. I.e thicker wire and ko's in junction boxes. Other than that, great pair of pliers.
