Wow, there is no better deal on the market. Thank you Ammo Can Man!
This is a great sleep system and will make a perfect addition to my bob. I am from Northern Minnesota. I have seen -60 temps and as recently as last year slept in my vehicle when it was -35. I don't usually buy used items but after seeing that the seller (Ammo Can Man) I chose to deal with had more than twice (almost 10,000) the positive reviews in the last 12 months than his nearest competitor, I decided to look at what he had available. I read the reviews and saw that many previous customers seemed just as impressed with the used 4 piece systems as others were with the new ones and that the seller had noted that his most of his sleep systems were in "Like new" condition. I then debated between buying the "Like New" or "Very Good" condition sleep system. I chose the "very good" thinking that I would just return it if it failed my inspection. Well I am very pleased to say that this bag more than met my expectations. The 4 piece sleep system showed up very quickly, and I used the free shipping option. Each piece came individually sealed in plastic (except the sleeping mat). The bivy, sleeping bags and stuff sack were all in excellent condition. No rips, tears or stains inside or out. The zippers, cinch ties, Velcro and snaps are in perfect working order. The stuff sack is equally impressive. It is the perfect size and the whole system (minus sleeping mat) easily fits inside and with the numerous vertical and horizontal compression straps it is then possible to shrink the whole thing down to a very manageable size. I would recommend this system to anyone who is in need of a durable, exceedingly warm and weatherproof sleep system. I would also recommend that you purchase this system from Ammo Can Man if you are at all interested in an excellent product with prompt and reliable service.

Great for backpacking
Took this in high 30s rainy backpacking trip. Woke up dry and warm. I use all 3 layers and slide sleeping pad between patrol bag and bivy. Some people mention condensation issues but not an issue as long as you allow it to ventilate. I Like to stay warm when I sleep so I always take both bags but it could have been way colder and I would have been comfortable. I tend to strap it to the outside of my pack like a sleeping pad. Whole thing weighs about 10lbs but that's not bad considering u don't need a tent and using a cold weather bag. Bombproof durability, quality zippers and materials. The patrol bag alone seems to be too light for camping in colder conditions but overall very happy with it.

Just get the better quality options... unless you have the time for replacements that may not actually be viable replacements?
Got mine from Ammo Cam Man. Great customer service and all. Though there was much hassle. I did get “good” condition rather than “very good condition” by mistake but that’s fine. The thing is, a lot of the parts weren’t “good” condition but essentially unusable. They did give me a new compression sack and patrol bag without anything but time on my part which was Ok. But even the new compression sack and patrol bag turned unusable as well. And I didn’t even take it out to camp with it yet. The compression lock mechanism just stopped working very quickly and just slides all over the place which is Ok... But also the new “Very good” condition patrol bag developed openings around the drawstring head. 2 openings. So basically the drawstring paracord is exposed along with separate openings around the head. And this occurred by doing simply nothing but compressing it not very tightly at all as well as not leaving it compressed but loose and comfortable in a compression bag... Also important to note that they gave me two separate versions of one bag. (The patrol bag). The second one I got had a black insulation addition inside while the first one had no such thing which was interesting. Not sure if the insulation is a kind gesture or if the patrol bag actually was supposed to come with that black layer. Not the best. Great customer service nevertheless. Maybe they could send me more replacements? Though I would rather have a small bit of refund. Atleast an amount that would have me buy a excellent condition patrol bag from a store somewhere.

These are a very good purchase. The smallest bag is about a 30 ...
These are a very good purchase. The smallest bag is about a 30 or 40 degree bag. Next size up is close to a 20. The large is a 10 or 0. They fit into each other. All of them would easily be a negative 30. They are very bulky. These are not your advanced technology back packers bags. They also do not come with stuff sacks. The bivey is excellent. It's waterproof and you need to open it a bit for ventilation. The head space has no frame so it literally lays on your face unless you know how to make a little frame. The rain was also very loud due to no insulation on the bivey. On the plus side, the bivey is very small.

I wasn't the most comfortable, but I survived
This is legit. It is comfy, it is warm, and it kicks some serious butt. I took this on a trip to the Adirondacks recently, just the patrol bag and the Bivy. It started snowing, and obviously, it was cold. I hadn't packed for a winter-esque trip. I was in a hammock, on a sleeping pad, with my pants off, and this bag around my body. I wasn't the most comfortable, but I survived. And that's the point. This sleeping system literally kept me alive. I would recommend this to ANYONE who is looking to get into camping, hiking, etc etc. Combining the bags has kept me warm through some of the tougher nights, and the waterproof bivy is next to none in performance. Now for the Company, Tennier is a very trusted brand in my area, and was actually recommended to me by a few buddies of mine who served. They have legitimately good gear, and excellent customer service. Thank you Tennier!

A great system at a great price.
Seems too good to be true but isn't. I ordered the used/like new version and I'm nearly positive that the sleeping bag components have never been used as they show nearly no signs of wear. The sleeping mat has obviously been issued prior as it had a name on it. However you are never in direct contact with the mat if you're using everything properly. Overall, a great deal on a great sleeping system. Made in USA. Exactly what was/is issued to the United States military.
