Q: can the auto lock feature be turned off? I need this for my employees to open up in the morning but do not want it to be locked afterwards??

Enter access code press unlock number 5 press unlock that will disable it until you turn it back on or you can let it try to lock if it does not go into the hole it will beep 3 times and the auto lock feature will be turned off until you lock it enter the code and unlock it will turn the auto lock feature back on

Yes, in blue. Then flashes green for valid code, red for invalid.

Q: I have tried multiple time to program a new code and it is not working. Yes, I followed the manual as did 2 other people. Is this a faulty lock?

Ahhhhh make sure you didn't screw up like I did! If you simply plod along following the instructions you'll think this lock is bonkers busted. Here's why: Lock's brand new or you've reset it 49 times.. You run the "handed programming" first as you're directed. Next you change the programming code and the user (door lock/unlock) code. Either, both, or neither, (after reset 14) . Then for the umpteenth time you try the USER code and unlock and.... BEEPBEEPBEEP red flash red flash red flash. You then, (plodding along), read the manual with the too small text and see that three red flashes and beeps means you haven't "handed" the lock correctly. Next reset.. blue air. Where I went wrong and the instruction manual fails is that after the handed test the lock is left UNLOCKED. So when you finally get done with the programming and user codes and actually enter the user code and hit the lock/unlock button the lock knows it's already unlocked and tells you you're entering an illogical command beep-red beep-red beep-red. Make sure you press the lock/unlock button alone before you every try your user code and unlock.
