Content: wonderful. Book construction: small errors
Pros: First I wanted to say that I LOVE these comics! Damien is my favorite so "Let the right dad in" was the winner for me but all the stories have their own charm. There's also great art inbetween the stories and a poster in the back of the book's cover.Cons: the book I got has a bunch of pages that are attached at the bottom, I'm gonna have to take a exacto knife to them. It's not the worst thing in the world but I figured it's worth mentioning.I still definitely recommend buying this book if you liked the game though!!

Cute LGBT comic
I decided to give this a shot because comic and dating dads. What I got was a comic and dad, most of whom were not overtly dating. I enjoyed the first comic the most out of all of them. I liked the story, the characters and the artwork.I wasn't expecting different artists for each comic, so the difference in art styles was a little jarring and felt a little disjointed when characters in common from story to story looked vastly different. If the title didn't say Dating, I am not sure I would have gotten a romantic vibe from most of these stories. And they were all fairly short so there is no real arc to the storylines. You may enjoy this more if you are familiar with the game, which I am not, but even without the game it was still a quick read with some enjoyable parts.Read through Netgalley as an ARC.

A Dream Comic!
I want to give a huge thank you to both NetGalley and Oni Press for this eARC! I recently played the video game and was head over heels for the dad jokes, the varied personalities for each Dad, and the honest emotions that spring forth from this mostly comedic dive into the life of a dad trying to meet other dads on a cul-de-sac full of dads.Wonderfully, the graphic novel has all of these things, and it adds more backstory to the more reclusive and mysterious dads like Robert and Damien. For my first play through on the game, I chose to focus on Joseph, and while I learned a lot about his character, I didn't really get to know anyone else. I really liked that this novel let me see a little peek into everyone's lives, and even gave the children of the other dads more personality and more to do than you get to see in certain story lines in the game!I loved all of the various animation styles, and how each transition worked for the specific dad that it was focused on. I think my favorite issue in the whole thing was where the dads played DnD, but they were all fantastic little one shots that it's almost too difficult to choose! I really hope there is another volume, because I'm in love with these dads-- or do I smell a animated series next??

A fun, entertaining read
The Dream Daddy graphic novel is a fun, light-hearted collection. Each issue is its own story, but there is still a cohesive style. The artwork is gorgeous and feels authentic to the game's style. The dialogue was handled by multiple authors, including the creators of the game, and it feels in character. However, you don't have to be a fan of Dream Daddy to enjoy this. There are definitely little gems sprinkled throughout for the players, but I only played through one path (Craig's) in the game and enjoyed learning more about the other dads. One of the greatest strengths of Dream Daddy is the sense of playfulness and fun. There is still some sexiness (PG-level), but it's done in a playful way, and it really feels like there's a lot of heart to the stories. My favorite issue was the first (as I'm a fan of Craig), but it was really fun to see all the dads playing D&D together, too (last issue).I highly recommend this, whether you're a fan of Dream Daddy or are just curious about the game. It was one of my favorite games of 2017, and I'm so glad we get to see more through this graphic novel.Thank you to Netgalley and Oni Press for providing a copy for review.

A must-read for any fans of the Dream Daddy game!
This was absolutely adorable, hilarious, and so heart-warming. It follows the different dads of Dream Daddy - sometimes in relationships with one another, sometimes as rivals or friends - and is unapologetically diverse, queer as heck, and gorgeous, to boot. I love Dream Daddy so I was absolutely ecstatic to see this graphic novel's existence, and it did not disappoint!* Thank you so much to the publisher for providing me with this ARC in exchange for an honest review! **** If you found this review helpful, please click the "Yes/Helpful" button below to let me know. so cute!
I received an ARC copy of this book from NetGalleyactual rating: 4.5This was so cute! I love the Dream Daddy game so it's always nice to see new related content for it. This book is made up of five short stories featuring the dads from the game and their kids [and a couple of different cute dadsonas]. They were all really fun and have the same great dialogue that I love from the game, but the one where Robert thinks that Damien is an actual vampire was definitely my favorite. I would totally read more volumes of this if they decide to write more!
