The advantages of these bulbs is that they are cheap, and far more energy efficient than the halogens that I replaced them with. However, the problem with these (and many other cheap LED bulbs) is that they are very poor quality. I installed 5 new bulbs into my kitchen lights, and whilst some work okay, a number of them immediately developed the annoying flickering often associated with low quality LEDs. I have no idea what the issue is (I believe there is some sort of driver in the bulb housing), but these bulbs are so inconsistent I have had to stop using them as they were giving me a headache to be in the kitchen for any length of time. I have ended up having to buy replacement Phillips bulbs, which I hope will be more reliable.

Can’t comment on longevity but look much better than the halogen lights we had.Make sure you find out if a driver is fitted before converting from halogens. If a driver is fitted the sell the led drivers on here and it’s a very easy swap.

I fitted these to replace old halogen 25w bulbs and they give a nice bright light, I'm very pleased.Note - if replacing existing halogen bulbs check your existing transformer is suitable for these low wattage LED units, you may need to change the transformer for them to work.

Exactly what I needed

2 boxes later and 2 of the bulbs in each order were defective and I can’t find an option to return them. Please advise.
