Frustratingly flimsy
Doesn’t work because the screw joint is too loose and even after tightening it myself the compass flies open again mid-use in under a minute. I had high hopes for this item because it looks stylish, but it just won’t draw a circle! The loose holding tip requires the wrist to bend down as far towards the page as possible and I personally found my wrist was at its limit. Deeply disappointed and saddened.

Sorry to say I was disappointed. It wasnt sturdy enough, fell out of my hand many times tried holding it losely but went all over the place tried holding tightly it barely moved. Couldn't win with this a d will not use it.

Not recommended
I can't recommend this one for year 4. It is not easy to use for my 9 yo and the setting doesn't stay. Glad it is fairly cheap as I need to find another one he can use for school.Also I was supposed to receive a green one and received a pink one instead... Not good

Best as first geometrical compass
Very light due to mostly plastic body.Good grip and my son who is in fourth standard liked this one best among the three I got for him. I would recommend this for the first geometrical compass for your kid. Could be a diff story for older kids in higher classes.

Not worth!
I don’t know why I ordered this when I could get a much better one at a shop next to my house. It doesn’t hold the pencil well, it’s loose and I’m unable to draw a circle with this so called compass!!
