Sheds too much
I recently bought this for myself and reluctantly will have to return it. The light grey color is great as is the feel of the material. However, when I tried it on over a black turtleneck and black pants, it shed very quickly in just a matter of a few minutes. I needed to remove the lint from both front and back of clothes after taking it off which would be too much of a nuisance to me to have to do this each time I wore it. Yes, it is generously sized but too much so for my 5 ft. 7 in. long legged frame. When I drape it over my shoulders, It falls below my knees and when I try to wrap one side over the over( as in the picture), the wrapped side immediately falls off - perhaps that is why the model is holding it together with her hand!. I can imagine that in order for the side to stay over the shoulder, one would have to use a scarf pin of sorts - again too much of a nuisance for me!. In summary, a lovely fabric to look at and touch but inconvenient to wear.

Large enough to be like a blanket yet classy and not bulky
This is my second shawl, first was black--elegant, ideal for travel. Large enough to be like a blanket yet classy and not bulky. It is unbelievably soft and rich looking. This silver has a slightly different look with the white fringe, but after playing with it, I realized it looked truly elegant just in a whole different way, and will go with other outfits. I am now on to buy the dark brown and possibly blue-teal!! Have never seen anything like it and I thought the price was a mistake. Looks like a $300 piece. It arrived almost immediately. Highly recommend!

Doubtfull at first
On very cold days I needed something to wear from my car to the door of my work place and after work from my work place back to the car and the same into my house. Wearing a big bulky coat seemed to get in my way more than anything else. When I saw this shawl my immediate thought was that it seemed very elegant and perfect for my needs, plus the extreme mark-down on the price didn't hurt either. I immediately ordered the shawl. After a few days and before the shawl arrived I began to have second thoughts about purchasing this shawl. After all, the shawl was made of baby Alpaca wool so I began worrying about how the baby Alpaca were treated while obtaining the wool. After receiving the shawl I can tell you I should not have wasted any time on worrying. The shawl was/is breathtakingly beautiful and exceedingly soft. The shawl was hand made and I'm sure the baby Alpaca were not hurt at all. If I had been thinking clearly, of course all Alpaca are sheared for their wool much the same as sheep are sheared for their wool-- no harm done to the animal. The bottom line is this shawl is very beautiful and soft and serves the purpose I intended it for perfectly. And as for compliments.....they are endless. Thank you for my lovely shawl.

Gift was a Real Hit
Bought this Shawl last minute for my friend who hates coats and she just raved about it. She uses daily, sitting around the house and takes it out every where she goes. Living in Arizona it's the perfect thing for cool nights and AC everywhere. It's so soft "she keeps telling me". Would recommend it as a gift and I would purchase again for myself

Beautiful!!! If you, or your intended, have white or silver hair, this grey colour will not wash you/them out. Very complimentary so light coloured hair and skin tones. Goes with just about everything. Dress up or down. Soft, not itchy. Three purchased, one more to go.

Soft and shiny
After reading the reviews I decided to purchase this grey shawl and I was very happy with it when it arrived. It's a great size and it feels lovely. You can see the hairs but they don't shed like mohair or angora. This will be great for long flights as it's easily packed into hand luggage.

Stunning Shawl
This actually is BABY SOFT!!! This item is actually more beautiful than pictured or described. The color Silver is so neutral it goes with everything and amazingly does not shed on black. Even so, I loved it so much I ordered another one in Black. I recently traveled to Los Cabos and lived in this wrap in the cool evenings.
